We're new to fishkeeping, but we've been here 3 times in the past few months. Every time, they've been great. They've helped troubleshoot issues with our tank, medication with a sick fish, and the fish and shrimp we've gotten here have all been really healthy (the sick one was last week and it was our fault; we've had him for a few months). They're always willing to take time to give suggestions or answer questions - haven't seen a single unfriendly employee. Their selection of everything from food to plants is pretty large. I love it in there!! Those guys are the best!! I have 3 tanks and feel like I am in there twice a week. They are attentive, and give great advice on which fish are more aggressive vs a little nippy vs calm and I have balanced out nicely. They have tons of fish and great prices!! The place is very well kept. The staff is incredibly friendly and surprisingly knowledgeable. The variety of fish is great. They also have a store front with everything you may need to take care of the fish. I got a $5 coupon of my first purchase just for giving them my phone number. I had a really nice experience there. I don't usually write reviews but this one was a must. I came in to School of Fish because I bought a snail and some African dwarf frogs at Petco and pet smart. My tank got cloudy and my frogs and snail didn't seem to be doing well. I went in for advice and they set me up with some supplies and wished me the best. Both me and the worker believed my snail was already dead but I thought I could still save the frogs. After following their directions, my snail is still alive and better than ever and so are the frogs! Very satisfied with the service! They really know what they're talking about. My husband and I were in search of a professional aquarium mover. After searching the internet and calling around to find the right person for the job we found Dave at School of fish. We called his store after hours and left a message. That morning he called us back and we discussed our moving concerns. He was very professional,knowledgeable and made us feel very comfortable with everything in his hands. He laid out his plan and came by our home to evaluate the terrain of the outside and inside so as to be better prepared for anything that could happen. We were all ready for the day of the move. The 180 gallon tank, live stock and rock were packaged up with care and the original owner even commented how clean and professional they were in breaking everything down. Everything went well but Dave had to cut out some of the plumbing at the previous owners home since he had it permanently setup. Once here, he and his staff went to work to get everything setup as quickly as possible. Since we had live stock we decided it would be best that Dave keep our fish at his store in a separate tank until the tank was completely setup and running. We had to do some plumbing and also wanted some new pumps and a new RODI system since the one we had was over five years old. Dave was able to aqua scape our tank, add new sand and water that day. It took a week for us to get everything ready to have our fish reintroduce to their new home. Being newcomers to the saltwater aquarium enthusiasts club, Dave has been very helpful and knowledgeable in guiding and teaching us about the do's and Don't's. He is easy to reach through Facebook messaging and he and his staff are very attentive at the store. We have found his prices are excellent and when searching to compare with Amazon they are either lower or on point. Even if I found something online a little cheaper I would buy it from him just because of the outstanding customer service he and his staff provide. And just to add another note, the price for the move was much less than what others wanted to change, we actually thought it was too good to be true. We love Dave and school of Fish! Very nice store with very friendly and helpful staff. They have many aquarium supplies for both fresh and salt. They're fish are very healthy and happy, though I do feel they could add a larger variety given the large space that they have. Nice supply of corals, some of which are very affordable, nothing very uncommon but a decent variety none the less. They have a nice variety of fancy shrimp with all the supplies needed for they're care. The plants there weren't the best, algae covered a good amount of them but healthy enough to bring back. Overall I'd recommend a visit, prices are very fair and it's worth taking a look read more
