Be prepared to have alternative plans…read more We had a night fireworks cruise cancelled for "weather" 36hrs in advance. No signs of inclement weather on any of the weather apps. As predicted, it turned out to be a Beautiful and calm night. We ended up watching the fireworks from shore. They contract out their crews so it may have been that something fell apart on that side for the night trip. Just be prepared that they may cancel for any reason. A local captain we met during the fireworks show in Camden surmised that there was likely something else besides the weather in their decision. Others in our party were committed to getting in a harbor tour so we ended up getting a day sail earlier in the day. It was a Beautiful day. Competent and friendly captain and crew. They did an excellent job of hosting the harbor tour. Absolutely Beautiful boat. Great way to spend some time on the water. Be prepared for alternative plans.

The food by Chef Juice, they call him was absolutely 5 stars ! From the best cheeses from around the world hand picked by Capt. Noah and his wife Jane were absolutely fantastic ! They take pride in their appetizers before a wonderful meal ! All the meals are hand made and out of this world ! The trip was almost fog free and we went around many of the Maine islands and had the wonderful lobster bake on Russ island, a favorite of Captain Noah's ! The crew on this trip was absolutely amazing ! They were absolutely spit on with detail and did everything they could to make you feel welcome on such a special schooner cruise. If you haven't taken a schooner cruise, I highly recommend that you give it a try! 3/4 of my sons have gone and they loved it ! Once again, I give this trip a 5 star review !

The cabins are larger (and fewer) with sufficient storage longest (7-day) cruise. Three heads; two with full-size, hot, freshwater, rainfall showers. The galley staff turns out breakfasts to order with plenty of fruits, granola, etc. Lunch, afternoon appetizers and dinners are all excellent. Appetizers and dinner include an appropriate wine pairing. They crew is highly experienced, knows their roles and responsibilities and excels as a team. The vessel is exceptionally well maintained. Few scratches and scuffs; and the brass work gleams.

This was an unforgettable experience to be on this beautiful old boat and to watch the crew work her lines with the expertise of seasoned sailors. Captain Brenda owns the Isaac Evans and does weekly sails typically except during certain events where she does daily sails. The boat is immaculate and kept up to her period of sailing with a few modern modifications Ike the head. The stove is a wood burning stove and the guest quarters are large for a boat. At one point, trembling with rage after chasing my family in his mobility device, he advised my husband, small child, and myself that the $10/pp "suggested donation" was mandatory and due before leaving the vestibule. This was the 4th time he approached me about paying his "suggested donation." I had every plan to pay before leaving but didn't know whether my husband or friends had already paid something and wanted to catch up with them. He followed me and my son around the building to confront me repeatedly. He further accused my family of exploiting his hospitality and screamed at us for failing to pay (we had both assured him we would pay the suggested donation before leaving). The guy is a nut with an anger problem and I can't recommend taking a child. Avoid.

He sailed us to the Islands of Mattincus , and Monhegan , to east Booth bay and Vinyl Haven , South West harbor , and many new and interesting places. The crew was very well trained and worked great together, on sailing the vessel, and catering to the passengers needs . Then there was the chef and galley hands . They did an excellent job of preparing the meals , and and catering to the passengers, dietary needs . You meet passengers from all over the us, and Canada . Who become family , by trips end . I highly recommend sailing on the Victory Chimes . If you want a unique, relaxing , and satisfying vacation, it's impossible to to beat !
