The cabins are larger (and fewer) with sufficient storage longest (7-day) cruise. Three heads; two with full-size, hot, freshwater, rainfall showers. The galley staff turns out breakfasts to order with plenty of fruits, granola, etc. Lunch, afternoon appetizers and dinners are all excellent. Appetizers and dinner include an appropriate wine pairing. They crew is highly experienced, knows their roles and responsibilities and excels as a team. The vessel is exceptionally well maintained. Few scratches and scuffs; and the brass work gleams.

Captain Tyler made sure we had good sailing everyday -- even the one day it rained was fabulously relaxing! Captain Tyler led a crew of remarkable young people with a quiet confidence that was a pleasure to see. Also, I cannot say enough good things about Chef Marty and Galley Hand Jake -- the food for each meal was spectacular, featuring fresh local produce, a new soup every day for lunch, a variety of dinner entrees, and fresh baked goods every day. All prepared on a wood fired stove! We enjoyed our trip so much, we booked for next summer before we got off the boat!

Ducktrap Kayak has a really sparse website, but don't let that fool you--they know what they're doing. Rental prices are very reasonable, and they will either help you strap the kayaks to your car or pick you up and drop you off at your convenience. The guy we spoke with was super knowledgable and suggested we kayak around Lake Megunticook (rather than in the ocean), which ended up being a fabulous choice. Even in early June, the water was warm enough to swim in, and there are several 'islands' where you can dock your kayak and stop for a bite to eat or a swim. We started early, so it felt like we had the lake to ourselves! Before he pushed us off, the owner gave us a rundown of how to work the kayaks and some tips for having a great trip. Be sure to check this place out! Definitely makes for a great morning/day of fun!

We left from the Bath Public Dock at 6am, right on time and cruised down river for ten minutes. About three minutes later we landed our first striper - 30". The kids' eyes were as big as saucers. On the evening cruise we had lobster dinner with corn and salad. They also provided us with a cake to cut and our friends provided the champagne. This was an unforgettable experience to be on this beautiful old boat and to watch the crew work her lines with the expertise of seasoned sailors. Captain Brenda owns the Isaac Evans and does weekly sails typically except during certain events where she does daily sails. The boat is immaculate and kept up to her period of sailing with a few modern modifications Ike the head. The stove is a wood burning stove and the guest quarters are large for a boat. My husband and I will one day come back for a weekly sail with her and the crew. Thank you again guys for the most wonderful wedding a girl could expect.

They are very kind and knowledgeable, and I couldn't recommend them more highly. There was a little engine trouble the first day, and they sent out a mechanic to our location (a days sail away). We had to return to port, but they upgraded us to a much nicer boat (J46) free of charge. The rest of the week was pleasant and carefree. Thanks! Oh, and one of the employee's let us barrow her car for the afternoon to get supplies, since our keys were stuck on the other sailboat our family had chartered.

They do the highest quality of work in everything they do both in managing and servicing our customers, our boats (sailboat and dinghies) and our family. They are extremely professional in everything they do and run their business with the highest ethical standards. In my role as a management consultant, I can say they run one of the best organizations I have ever seen, period -- everyone in their organization is friendly, helpful and very competent. While I would like to say that I hoped every organization was a well run as Johanson's Boatworks, that would put me out of business -- so I won't go that far.
