The food by Chef Juice, they call him was absolutely 5 stars ! From the best cheeses from around the world hand picked by Capt. Noah and his wife Jane were absolutely fantastic ! They take pride in their appetizers before a wonderful meal ! All the meals are hand made and out of this world ! The trip was almost fog free and we went around many of the Maine islands and had the wonderful lobster bake on Russ island, a favorite of Captain Noah's ! The crew on this trip was absolutely amazing ! They were absolutely spit on with detail and did everything they could to make you feel welcome on such a special schooner cruise. If you haven't taken a schooner cruise, I highly recommend that you give it a try! 3/4 of my sons have gone and they loved it ! Once again, I give this trip a 5 star review !

Magnificent good and wholesome prepared from scratch by the Fabulous chef and pastry chef. Fresh made bread, scones, cake, cookies, etc at each meal and snacks. Food was excellently prepared and served. Captain Tyler, first mate Courtney and the rest of the crew were knowledgeable, efficient, hard-working, friendly, nice people. Very nice to be around and the rest of the guests, therewere only 14 of us, were interesting people from all across the US. This is my second trip on the Schooner American Eagle. This was the trip of a lifetime! The captain, Tyler King, knows his boat inside and out and is an incredibly sailor and a wonderful guy! He even read us sailor stories one night and sang and played the guitar to serenade us to sleep! His awesome crew (Elias, Courtney, Lily, and Kate) were phenomenal and helped Tyler sail the ship to perfection! Their enthusiasm and zest for life is infectious! The outstanding cooks, Marty and Quinn, made the most incredible meals every single day, and they were five star! I have absolutely nothing negative to say about the American Eagle!! They all catered to our every need and were beyond kind and so much fun! We all just felt like one big family! We also were able to compete in the famous great American schooner race on July 4 and it was spectacular and exciting! What a blast! I could go on and on about this wonderful Trip we took. The galley staff turns out breakfasts to order with plenty of fruits, granola, etc. Lunch, afternoon appetizers and dinners are all excellent. Appetizers and dinner include an appropriate wine pairing. They crew is highly experienced, knows their roles and responsibilities and excels as a team. The vessel is exceptionally well maintained. Captain Brenda owns the Isaac Evans and does weekly sails typically except during certain events where she does daily sails. The boat is immaculate and kept up to her period of sailing with a few modern modifications Ike the head. The stove is a wood burning stove and the guest quarters are large for a boat. At one point, trembling with rage after chasing my family in his mobility device, he advised my husband, small child, and myself that the $10/pp "suggested donation" was mandatory and due before leaving the vestibule. This was the 4th time he approached me about paying his "suggested donation." I had every plan to pay before leaving but didn't know whether my husband or friends had already paid something and wanted to catch up with them. He followed me and my son around the building to confront me repeatedly. He further accused my family of exploiting his hospitality and screamed at us for failing to pay (we had both assured him we would pay the suggested donation before leaving). The guy is a nut with an anger problem and I can't recommend taking a child. Avoid.
