I wanted to buy a limited-edition publication and I did a web search for sellers. Harper's Books was one of the very few booksellers with a copy, and their price was also the most reasonable (admittedly that was probably because the few other sellers had signed copies). I e-mailed the bookstore and received a response within literally about a minute. There were several e-mails back-and-forth re: certain details - and Chris (the co-director) was exceptionally responsive, accommodating & pleasant. The photos alone make the store look lovely and the service was superb!

I'd give this place 5 stars if only the guy who owned it was cooler. He could be so much cooler…read moreand less dick-ish. And if he were, then oh man this would be the coolest place to hang out in east Hampton. But a dick is a dick is a douche. And when you got a dick with a bad vibe running the place, the last thing you want to do is purchase anything from him. Pity. Now if I were the Dick, I'd say to myself, "Dick your talents aren't dealing with clients. Your talents are more academic. Or perhaps you have a good eye. Or are good with money. Stick with what you're good at. And hire some lovely charming fun person to be client facing. And stay in your office Dick. And watch your business grow."
