Instead of being met with compassion, empathy, and professionalism, they left feeling dismissed, upset, and deeply hurt by the way the staff handled the situation. No family should have to experience the loss of a pet while also feeling unsupported by the very people who are supposed to provide comfort and care. The lack of sensitivity and professionalism during such a heartbreaking moment only added to their grief.I understand that veterinary medicine can be stressful and emotionally demanding, but kindness and compassion should never be overlooked. Pets are family, and their owners deserve to be treated with respect during one of the worst days of their lives. Based on what my friend experienced, I would encourage others to carefully consider where they choose to bring their pets.
