***I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS LAW FIRM*** If this company makes a comment to my response…read moresaying they don't know who I am or my case file, it is a lie-go see for your self as the county is Richland, Ohio or city Mansfield, Ohio case number: 2022 CV 0130 N. I was sued for civil trespassing by my neighbor. They wanted me to move things off their property and was asking for $25K in damages. We filed a counterclaim for Adverse Possession, Acquiescence, & Conversion as I bought this property from my grandparents(still living) in 2019. They bought the property when it was built in 1971 and has been trespassing thinking it was their property since 1971. When I bought it from them I continued to do the same. When you are in an AP case the burden is on you to show evidence for this because the courts don't love taking property away from someone but the timeframe is 21 years and then it is yours as long as you are using OCEAN=Open, Continuous, Exclusive, Adverse and Notorious, which we did all of these. I had 10-12 affidavits from my grandparents, parents, builders, neighbors and previous owners of the plantiffs property, pictures, videos and messages and recordings of evidence and this firm DID ZERO discovery along with ZERO depositions and failed to provide ZERO of my affidavits. All the evidence they did use was inadmissable meaning the judge can't use it. So when the plantiffs filed for a motion for summary judgement it was easy to win due to my attorneys neglagence/legal malpractice. The same experienced attorney as the ones I had should/would of used all the evidence that they would of brought to trial that they had to their response like they are suppose to in CIV R 56 rules, but this attorney did not and now I will have damages because the case was lost because of this attorneys failure. When I asked them to fix this without a financial burden on us, they said they would look at the CIV R 56 laws and get back to me-never did..they also REFUSED to file an appeal in which we asked them to do. The only thing they were willing to do with no financial burden on us was to try and finally get a settlement from opposing counsel, which should of been done in the first place w/ much more effort. These attorneys are not respected by other attorneys and it shows. They don't get back to you with questions or only answer the ones they want to and not all of them and will go months with you reaching out asking them to look over affidavit statements to see if anything needs/changed/fixed or signed with no response. They tell you discovery is not needed and wont get it and just simply doesn't defend you like you pay them to do. I paid them $10,000.00 which I received $1,200.00 or so back once I terminated our contract and found other counsel that is actually willing to do their job and help me. I also paid the same surveyor $1,800.00 that was also the plantiffs surveyor as well, for what I am not sure that amount since we never went to court for them to testify for us as before this attorney got involved the survey to buy the property would be $650.00 and then when atty got involved it went to $1,800.00 which makes zero sense. In closing I beg each and every one of you to not waste your money with this firm. On cases they know have an uphill battle with they do nothing to defend you, and you will lose and it will cost you thousands and you will end up having to pay another attorney to do the job they were suppose to do in the first place and possibly even a legal malpractice lawyer because of the neglagence and damages caused to you. You will be just as confused as when you started and this will be a big 1-2-3 years of your life wasted and stress caused to you. It is NOT worth it, I promise you. Maybe they are over worked and do not have the time but it's still not an excuse because they shouldnt take on new clients if that is the case. Again, I strongly recommend to NOT use this law firm. Kyle and Courtney & this firm failed me and I don't want the same thing to happen to you.

He made it sound like the only option. What he did not do was tell me what it would really mean. He did not explain the consequences. He did not walk me through what I was giving up. He did not tell me that signing it would destroy my ability to work, my livelihood, my future. I trusted him. I signed. I did not find out what I had actually agreed to until it was too late. By then, my license was gone. My career was gone. Everything I had built for fifteen years gone. Because I trusted someone who did not fully inform me before I put my name on that line. I am not a lawyer, but I know I asked him questions and did not get real answers. I know he pushed me toward a decision without giving me the full picture. I know I walked out of that room thinking I had made the right choice. I spent every day since watching my life fall apart because of it. I feel stupid for trusting him. I feel sick when I think about that day. When you start your career with the Board, it is no surprise he is ending it on the other side of the Board. That is not a coincidence. That is a pattern. If you hire him, do not assume he has your best interests at heart. Read everything yourself. Ask every question. Do not sign anything until you fully understand what you are losing. Because once it is done, there is no going back. I trusted him. He failed me. I will never forgive myself for believing him. He knew exactly what he was doing. He knew exactly what I was losing. He just did not care. Luckily, my new attorney is the exact opposite.

I know I made the right decision to have Jim represent me BEFORE I spoke to the person from the nursing board. I followed his advise to the best of my ability and after a grueling 3 years The BON have concluded their investigation, in my favor! Because of Jim, I retain my license, my career, and most importantly my dignity. The Ohio Nursing Board, is serious and if you have been the focus of a complaint. I believe the most important part was having Jim in my corner, who has been a lawyer in Columbus for many years. He knows the ins and outs of the Board process and is able to direct you to make best choices. I am able to practice my vocation, of nursing, thanks to Jim McGovern.
