That said, I had coffee at one place, ate a meat loaf lunch at another, pawed the car windows and did some test sitting at a few dealerships, drove around the University of Toledo campus (which I didn't know is a very good school for STEM disciplines), and put the cherry on top of these few hours by visiting the Toledo Botanical Garden. I walked the garden and took photos. It was warm and humid, so I didn't really relax and sit a spell. Like many public gardens, the Toledo Botanical Garden, out toward the western end of the city, mixes up formal garden spaces with European cues and more organic spaces, meaning they are natural in affect and display very little rigid planning. I was fairly amazed how, as you moved along, these different vistas came into view. Everything was cohesively put together and you could enjoy the different environments they've curated for you. The Toledo Botanical Garden is part of the city metro park system, which I learned from other reviews. Thus, being under this umbrella might mean that the park is free of charge ... and it is! For this aspect and for delivering more than I had expected, having pulled it from a "top things to do" list, I believe the Toledo Botanical Garden handily earns 5 stars.

It had apparently slipped off my nose and was covering only my mouth. I wasn't greeted with, "Is there something I could help you with?" I would think places like this would be grateful that someone was walking into their store to make a purchase. Instead, they watch from at least 20 feet away to see if customers walking through their doors are "properly" wearing masks. My friend and I immediately left and went to Angel 101 where we wore our masks and gladly spent $200! Now that's a cute shop, and the workers there are beyond friendly and inviting!!! After reading other reviews it seems as if "rude" is a common word that is used to describe Taste of Toledo. I guess you need to enter at your own risk....

We were also looking for gifts for my daughter and daughters-in-law which would have been up to $300 more in purchases.. The preschooler said she had to use the restroom. I was told that you do not have a public restroom. Your employee directed me to a nearby store to use their restroom, a store where I had no intention of spending money. I realize you may exert any policy you want to in a private business. But I am offended by a store that sells children's gifts but treats them poorly. I will not shop in your store again and I will make sure my friends in Perrysburg know about your treatment of us. By the way, I will shop in Fiddlestix in Sylvania. Quite a few years ago I was shopping there with another young grandchild when he needed to use the restroom. The facilities at Copper Moon are stellar, and the gallery is wonderful. Of course I had to get a spoon bracelet by John Marchello on our way out. The class was a perfect balance of relaxed fun and skill acquisition. Sarah kept the pace in the sweet spot for everyone, and is very encouraging and enthusiastic. This last observation then segues into my wife's comments that she relayed to me after talking with the owner. She (the owner) opened this shop because the craft show activity in the area has been greatly mitigated due to issues related to COVID. This establishment gives local crafters an outlet for their wares, and there are one-of-a-kind offerings that can be found throughout. My wife bought a beautifully decorated birdhouse for a steal (barely above the price of the materials). If you're looking for an unusual gift, this is a terrific place to look for one.
