A/c worked great as the day was hot! Staff was friendly and do a great job keeping the resort looking beautiful. Tons of trees for shade and right on Schroon River so plenty to do in the area. They have a pool, horseshoe pits, playground, tubes for rent, and an activity zone. It's also just a short drive to town for food, coffee, things to do, etc. The best part is the store has little gifts for you to remember your trip! Definitely worth coming to if you're looking for a campground resort in the area!

The property manager, Harry, and other groundskeepers, were so attentive and friendly; checked on us periodically, always asking if we needed anything. We stayed on a "lower" site. It was spacious, shaded perfectly, easy access to water and electricity, and the view and beach/river access is a bonus. Even in late September, we were able to enjoy the soft, warm sand, and the cool, refreshing, clear water. The playground/play areas were a hit for my 4 yr old. Again, the cleanliness and upkeep of those structures were a pleasant surprise. I'm certain we'll be back!

Also don't come here if you want to sit around and watch TV for your trip - unless if y ou bring it with you - its a blessing that there is no cable TV or even free Wi-Fi. Sprint service is non-existent, but Verizon works fine (no idea about AT&T) This campground is right on the shores of the Schroon River with two different beaches. There is free canoe and kayak loaners available - inner tubes too. The campground has an adequate camp store. The best deal may be the barrel of firewood for $10 - half for what I pay for it in other campgrounds. The staff is 100% volunteer and do their part at making everyone feel welcome. There are always different activities taking place every weekend - we had a killer $5 Pancake breakfast. I really enjoyed our stay here and look forward to returning.

Only area of opportunity is the pool as it is on the small side and could use some freshening up paint and concrete wise. We have seen lots of reviews out there how this membership program is a scam and not worth the cost, however, we have had quite the opposite experience thus far. Well worth our bronze membership fee. Unrelated to this location, but worth mentioning due to the association, was the absolutely terrible custom service experience had when calling the Saratoga Springs location to inquire about adding a couple nights there on our vacation. The woman who took the call gave incorrect information and was rude. Every review about her out 'there' on the internet is supported from my experience. She needs to find a new profession because customer service isn't for her. Sadly even the professionals working here knew of her terrible reputation and had fielded complaints... I hope the owner takes appropriate action soon to address.

From the beginning, under the original owners, this resort became more than just a vacation spot, it became part of our family tradition. The original owners were truly remarkable people who poured their hearts into the resort, treating guests like family. Their warmth, hospitality, and understanding of what made this place special set the tone for everything we've come to love. Now under new ownership, I know there have been mixed reviews, but let's be honest, everyone starts somewhere. Chris, the new owner, listens, takes suggestions seriously, and is clearly making an effort to modernize the resort while honoring its legacy. Change is never easy, especially when emotions and memories run deep, but I see the intention behind it and truly appreciate the effort. The rooms have been revamped with clean floors and refreshed spaces, and housekeeping comes every two days, which works perfectly. And if you ever need something... just ask! The staff is accommodating and always willing to help. What keeps us/me coming back year after year? It's the community of regular guests who've become our "summer neighbors." That sense of connection and tradition is still very much alive. Chris understands how much we loved the previous owners and respects that legacy, while also bringing a new chapter to Flamingo Resort. Change takes time, but the heart of Flamingo is still beating strong. And for me that's reason enough to keep coming back.

We stayed here because we were looking for an affordable place in the Lake George area so we could raft in the Adirondacks, dine, and party in Lake George. We had a party of 9. The accommodation we stayed in was a log cabin with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, and kitchen. Pros: - Price is right! Can't beat the value. 9 of us stayed there comfortably for 2 nights for $45 each. - The place is on Lake Trout and they have canoes, kayaks, and paddle boats to use. Just go up to the dock, take one, and plop it in the water. Cons: - A bit rundown. - "Stocked" kitchen wasn't really stocked at all. - Everything inside the place was from the 60's. Overall, we enjoyed our time.

If that doesn't speak to how much we love it here, I'm not sure what will. This is truly a hidden gem. Not only does it boast some of the most fantastic views, the accomodations are great, the amenities are awesome, and most importantly the hospitality is phenomenal. There are kayaks, row boats and paddle boards free to use. They have an in house marina where they rent out boats and jet skis at a cost. The beach area is BEAUTIFUL with a small sandy area for the kids. They have a gorgeous salt water pool at the top of the property. They have a small cafe off the office that makes THE best smoothies and coffee. Theres a cute little playground for kiddos. The property is always so clean and well kept. You honestly don't even need to leave the property to have fun. It's an all in one fun zone. There are some dated aspects you can see around the place, but what's fantastic is that every year we come back and new improvements and upgrades have been made. I love that this place is eternally in a state of growth and improvement, and you can really tell this is a labor of love for the Chiroboga family. You would be hard pressed to find a group of people more dedicated to the happiness of their clientele, more hospitable, more kind, more hardworking, sweeter and more passionate than the owners. My favorite perk is you CAN NOT beat the overwhelming sense of peace that shrouds this place. We have been making memories at the Villas for 4 years and we intend to continue doing so for years to come. We LOVE the Villas, it means so much to our little family.

I've noticed many people who book here will keep booking the same time every year, just like our family. The family that runs this place is SO welcoming, kind, and easy to talk to. I haven't been to BLR in years but Michele always asked my family about me and finally seeing her this year was like no time has passed. It's comforting to know such a wonderful place is ran by wonderful people! Our cabin (#3) has the perfect view of the lake, my parents say they pay for that view if nothing else. Its even a beautiful sight on a cloudy/rainy day! Cabins are pretty clean and updated, nothing bad to say about it. Full kitchen. Heat/AC available. Wifi worked great. Super cozy. My bed was so comfortable, I slept great every night. Somehow, this place feels like home and paradise at the same time. Lots of recreation available: swimming area, playground, fire-pit, docks, canoes, boat launch, grills, etc. It's also about a 10 minute drive from the village! Blue Lagoon is easy to fall in love with, definitely stay here next time you visit Lake George!

When we arrived, all we had to do was pick up the keys. The woman in the office couldn't have been nicer. She made the room available to us a little earlier so we could get dressed for the ceremony and showed us on the map where all the events would take place. The room was large with a small fridge and coffee maker. We didn't spend much time there but we were comfortable. The grounds are lovely, a beautiful setting for a wedding. The ceremony was lakefront with cocktail hour at the nearby tavern. Cocktails, cheeses and passed hors doevres. The bacon wrapped scallops were scrumptious as were the steak empanadas. Then we moved up to the restaurant. This is a charming venue. The acoustics could be better....conversation was difficult, but maybe that was the DJs fault for not playing quieter music while dinner was being served.

The "wicked witch" at the office had my car towed. She stated that it was an abandoned car, even though it is a 2025 Ford Escape and looks brand new. Who would abandon that car. Every once in a while, you run into a crazy AH and she totally lives up to that. She knew that this was not an abandoned car, but just to be a total AH had it towed. There was absolutely no reason to cost me $180 for towing. It was totally aggravating to find my car not there and find out that my car was towed miles away and I had to walk to get it. Life can be rough enough without having a crazy woman tow your car away for no reason. I was out for an hours walk. This "witch"should be FIRED immediately. FIRE HER, FIRE HER! I am a camper myself and this is how this campground treats people. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE!! THEY SHOULD GO OUT OF BUSINESS. There are plenty of other campgrounds to go to.

The sun comes up right over the river. The site was large and private. Staff didn't bug us, seasonal people didn't bug us and everyone was friendly. You do get lots of mosquitoes and black flies on the river but the beauty of it was well worth the citronella candles and bug spray. They have a large pool, the cleanest pool I've ever seen and quite a large recreation room. Their camp store comes in handy, they sell wood and you can even have a pizza delivered. We really like this place. Not fancy but when your on that clean sparkling river in the woods it feels like you're a million miles away..... thanks.
