This is the second time I have been to lake George escape camp ground. I can't complain. It is still fun and one of the best places to go with the family for a camping experience. There are many sites for tenting, RV's and also cabins available for your type of camping style. The showers are free with hot water and the bathroom are maintained daily. The last time we had came here was back in 2014. The experience is still the same. They have tubing, canoeing and kayaking. The tubing experience is so much fun. The cost is 10 dollars. The camp ground staff drop you off with tubes and you go your merry way down the river. That leads back to the campsite. There campsite is also located near lake George. The resort has a shuttle that will drop you off and pick you up at lake George for your adventurous side to explore more that what the campsite has to offer. Definitely will be coming back again.

Grounds were well kept, all the staff were friendly, and they kept their pool area open later in the season than most other parks. Nice campground.

My husband, kiddos, and I have been full-time RV'ing for six months, all over the U.S. We've been to a lot of campgrounds, and this one is our favorite so far. The grounds are beautiful, with woods, chipmunks, frogs, beach lounging along Schroon River, etc. Our four-year old, Lily Beanz, had a wonderful time on the little poolside water slide, miniature golf, big playgrounds, and pedal trikes. All the facilities were super-clean, and the store had all you could ask for. The employees are so nice, including Natalie and her front desk supervisor who both worked so hard to find us a spot for more days there, and Roy, the facilities manager, who noticed how happy Lily was to be there and gave her a free slushee coupon for her first slushee evz.

    Adult bingo night!!

I liked how this campground had plenty to do for adults and kids. It was close to grocery store, gas and dunkin! Only half hour ride from the actual Lake George! It had a restaurant/bar lounge area which was cool. This business was separate from the campground so the employees did not belong to the campground. At this restaurant/ bar lounge the owner and employees were very pleasant and friendly. Food and drinks were well worth the price. However, the campground staff weren't very pleasant. All bathrooms were pretty dirty and due to Covid we expected it to be much cleaner especially because you are required to wear face coverings every time you enter a building. Luckily we had a full camper. The two other families that joined us rented tent sites and ended up using our camper bathroom as they were that gross.

Such an awesome for friends and family. Been coming here for years and each year gets better and better. New activities every year.

Had a little problem... but the general manager made things right. I am grateful for that.... and as a result I plan on returning next year.

Also don't come here if you want to sit around and watch TV for your trip - unless if y ou bring it with you - its a blessing that there is no cable TV or even free Wi-Fi. Sprint service is non-existent, but Verizon works fine (no idea about AT&T) This campground is right on the shores of the Schroon River with two different beaches. There is free canoe and kayak loaners available - inner tubes too. The campground has an adequate camp store. The best deal may be the barrel of firewood for $10 - half for what I pay for it in other campgrounds. The staff is 100% volunteer and do their part at making everyone feel welcome. There are always different activities taking place every weekend - we had a killer $5 Pancake breakfast. I really enjoyed our stay here and look forward to returning.

Only area of opportunity is the pool as it is on the small side and could use some freshening up paint and concrete wise. We have seen lots of reviews out there how this membership program is a scam and not worth the cost, however, we have had quite the opposite experience thus far. Well worth our bronze membership fee. Unrelated to this location, but worth mentioning due to the association, was the absolutely terrible custom service experience had when calling the Saratoga Springs location to inquire about adding a couple nights there on our vacation. The woman who took the call gave incorrect information and was rude. Every review about her out 'there' on the internet is supported from my experience. She needs to find a new profession because customer service isn't for her. Sadly even the professionals working here knew of her terrible reputation and had fielded complaints... I hope the owner takes appropriate action soon to address.

Wifi has been expanded (but isn't part of your fee; it's an additional cost), pool furniture has been updated, and they're working on replacing the heaters, and the playground is a good size for how small this campground is. Generators are brought in to assist with power usage on busy weekends. A shuttle is available to take people from LGSV to their sister park Lake George Escape for amenities instead of having to drive yourself, and there's no additional cost to use the shuttle or partake in LGE activities. More activities are also planned by the entertainment committee at LGSV including a recent 4th of July weekend with a band one night, karaoke followed by a DJ another night, super soaker wars with the campsites and dodgeball tournaments, and more. This is a quieter campground though; it's a great place to come relax by the river and enjoy nature, but not the place for your kids to be entertained by electronics and shows 24/7.

We arrived not long after the posted checkin time to find a locked office and a map with our name written on it posted to the door. Being avid campers, we're no stranger to this practice but typically this is done if you're a later arrival and if not the campground usually gives you a heads up that the office will be closed then checks in on you later in the day to make sure you settled in ok and don't need anything. We've never been to the area so I was looking forward to speaking with the staff for some recommendations of places to go in the area. We also didn't have any firewood. They're doing some big renovations and I'm optimistic that they'll be nice. The bathrooms appear to have recently been done and look great (although the shower stalls are directly next to one another and have large openings on the top and bottom which is less than ideal for privacy sake). Water pressure in the showers was great and they are free but the stalls and dressing areas are cramped and could use more hooks/shelves to put things while in use. The rest of the campground was an absolute mess though. Obviously construction mixed with spring mud is not a pretty combination but to be honest had I known the current state of the campground I would have booked elsewhere. Guests should have been informed in advance and given a discounted rate or the campground should have delayed opening until the major renovations were completed. Our site was pretty level but had a cabin up right against it with nothing to separate the sites for privacy. The view was the pool and the road. Fire ring was a small one that was sunk into the ground. We had two bars of service for T-Mobile which allowed us to use our cell phone but not to stream anything when we were stuck inside because of the rain. So to sum it up...I'm going to give it a middle of the road rating of 3 stars. The location is good and I'm happy to see they are making improvements to the property. Although the ambiance and privacy was severely lacking for us I'm optimistic that they are working on improving that. However I think the service could be improved and more consideration could be given to the guest experience. **Update** Shortly after posting this the owner approached my fiancé and said that he felt bad about the current state of their campground so they were going to issue us a partial refund for our night stay. So I don't know if the owners saw my review (which I honestly don't think was the case since it was within half an hour of my post) or if it was just a crazy coincidence but ultimately the owner did try to improve on our experience.

The office manager Patty is rude and has no moral values of doing the right thing for the customer. On Thursday July 19th we checked into Ledgeview CC, we knew we had a balance due as the campground emailed my wife of the balance due of $213 for the 8 day stay. During the check in the woman behind the counter (Patty) said the amount was incorrect and that the booking website calculated the good sam discount on the weekly rate which was already a discounted rate for the week. And that the good sam discount would only be honored on the additional day. So the additional amount due was $43. We took issue with Patty as she was the person that emailed my wife with the remaining balance due of $213. She should have noted in the email that they won't honor the Good Sam discount on weekly rates, But she didn't. Patty make the mistake and should have honored the amount noted in the email she sent. But she refused again saying it was the booking web sites error. And then proceeded to firmly read the campground rules aloud focusing in on a couple rules, like if we were to have guests, if we don't call the office ahead of time they would be refused entry to the park. We paid the full balance due and processed onto our site. It was a hot humid day during check in and we fired up the AC right away. We have 33 foot, Fifth Wheel with only 1 AC unit. With temps above 90° this evening, I was watching the power coming into our camper bounce between 110 and 114 volts, within an hour of being there and setting up the camper the 50 amp fuse on the pedestal popped, knocking out all my 120 volt circuits, we were only running a television an external speaker the AC and some 12 volt lights at the time, I reset the pedestal and everything was fine for the rest of the night, In addition I pulled my fridge off of the 50 amp circuit and plugged it into the 20 amp outlet on the pedestal, the next morning the temperatures and humidity raised quickly into the mid-90s again late Saturday morning the pedestal power popped again we were only running minimal stuff air conditioner 12 volt lights and so on. We complained at that front office they asked us if we were running more than two things, seems to be a common question that campgrounds ask when they have poor power. They said they would have someone look at it. Good thing for us, the temps the rest of the week hovered around the 80's, and we didn't have any additional issues with the power.
