I'm not sure to give this a star or not but never go to the optical place inside this business because you get the runaround, like I did as soon as I put my prescription in to the person that does the glasses I wait about a week I went down to the Verona location numerous of times still got the runaround on the website says on Mondays do open it 8 to 7 so I came down there after work. Nobody was in there at the Vernon location. They don't consider that people work and so I asked the lady that does the glasses to bring them down to the Belleville location so she did. I went there about 11 o'clock on September 27. As soon as I walk inside the door, she said she'll be right with me then the nurse came out started modeling stuff about me questioning her the lady that does the glasses about me. When am I therefore the lady does the glasses after talking to one of the people that work there about me? What am I here for? I said I'm here to pick up and I was waiting patiently, so after she was done with the person that was ahead of me that's when she got me she finally took me and I finally got my glasses. I have been going to this eye doctor place for years ever since the founder, of the original founder of Dr. Eichler before he died my grandparents used to go there. I've been going to the eye doctor since before Dr. Eichler Senior died, and I have not ever received this treatment in my life .

However, the customer service was horrendous from his staff…read more I purchased new frames and lenses from them but I had to continuously call them myself for updates because they provided little to no updates. It took almost a month to get them in which is unheard of. It wouldn't have been as bad if I was provided regular updates rather than having to check every few days by calling them myself... When my frames finally got in, there was a tiny scratch on one of the lenses so they had to be re-order new lenses which took another 2-3 weeks... I did appreciate their transparency however. Once the lenses were finally in, I had to bring my frames back to get the lenses replaced. Tracy was super nice and helpful but her co-worker Henry seemed reluctant to adjust my glasses a few times and seemed rushed to go home which made the overall experience (with what already started off as a bad experience from the previous amalgamation of events) all the much worse - like a cherry on top. In the end, the actual frames and lenses were fine and I am happy with but I have NEVER experienced customer service this atrocious to the point where I felt the need to spend time out of my Saturday to write a long, detailed "Karen-esque" review. But in my opinion, my terrible experience warrants it.

She is extremely knowledgeable and has a very well trained staff who do take their time with each patient. I have been a patient of Dr. Levine's for more than 25 years. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Her conscientious follow up as to my concerns about both my challenges with extremely dry eyes (from a lot of computer work), my potential for familial glaucoma and cataracts has lately been her main focus. And for that I am most appreciative. I find her office to be a pleasant and enjoyable place I have never had to wait more than 10-15 minutes even when they were most busy pre-Covid. In fact, today when I went, I was very impressed as to both their strict adherence to the cleanliness guidelines and the numbers of people allowed in the office for which I appreciated, as well. While purchasing $800 glasses from an optometrist once and getting partial coverage from insurance is a necessary thing, it is not always a budget friendly option. Fortunately there are online options available to order with a prescription. I know that these offices are reluctant to share prescriptions due to the increasing use of these online options. But they are in fact OUR prescriptions. When my daughter called for the PD #, NOT an expired RX, they would only offer it for $25. That seems absurd since it is her medical history. And quite frankly none of their business what she will do with her OWN records. But to assert that it would be a liability for them to give that number to her is asinine. Their conversation escalated to unreasonable proportions because of the staff's incredibly condescending responses. We will not be doing business there again. I had confirmed appointments for me and my daughter on Saturday, but when we arrived, the receptionist said we didn't have appointments. I showed her the email and she said the appointments weren't there and the next available appointments weren't for a few weeks. I left, thinking it was possible that I had made a mistake and it was clear the receptionist didn't care and wouldn't or couldn't help. Today I got an email from the eye center telling me I had missed my appointment. I try not to write bad reviews online but the only contact options are to call or write a review. There's no point calling and speaking to the receptionist from Saturday. Maybe someone at the Eye Center will read this and realize their computer system isn't working.

I have been going to Dr. Clifford for years and trust her with my eye care. As an aging patient, your eyes can continue to change. Dr. Clifford has and continues to work with me to make sure my contacts provide the best near and far vision ( I wear bifocal contacts and if you do, you know that this is a matter of balancing the two of them.) To those that complain about having to buy your contacts there, they don't force you to do it, but provide it as a service ( and usually at a better price than most opticians .)
