A 4-6 month project, as quoted by the sales team, will actually take 10-11 months. Every single step has been a complete disaster, including the fact that I am now pumping propane into a house that is not finished and to top that, there is no work even scheduled to be done! Half of the steps completed in the last 2 months were completed because of the babysitting and nagging I have had to do to a company that is supposed to 'build a house' for you. Granted we now need to try and work with the warranty group or pay for the fixes of our new home on our own, but at least we don't have to battle and listen to the lies being told by the multiple field managers and office management that worked on our project. The incompetence throughout the 18 month build was numerous. We went through 3 field managers, 1 quit, 1 was fired and the third was the only person that seemed to try and get things done. If you are thinking to yourself we must have had a complex home build for it to take 18 months, that is not the case. We have a 2000 sq ft ranch that was supposed to take 9 months or less. The rough carpentry started the issues with walls that weren't square and a floor that wasn't flat. We had a 6 week pause in the middle of the build during the beautiful summer months because they couldn't manage their contractors timely. The furnace system was put in the wrong spot, the siding was falling off the house, the stone and siding were put on in the wrong order creating gaps on the exterior of the house, it took them a month to get the island in the kitchen level, because of the messed up floors. The list goes on and on. Anyone planning to build a home should stay as far away from Wayne Homes as possible.

Jerry is almost comical when stating I wanted to be as cheap as possible. While I can and will…read moreadmit we were trying to come in on budget I don't mind spending the money when the job is done on time and properly. What bothered me a lot was the fact he complained a lot about his help and that Jeff wasn't as good as he thought and that Eric was just learning how to lay roofing. He mentioned how it was taking longer and was starting to "get into his pocket". When it came to the tear off I called him and told him they would leave the dumpster longer but that I was not going to pay the extra. The job was quoted as 3-4 days the dumpster was there a week, you do the math. The tear off got done only because he asked me to have them hold off until the very last pick up of the day and he had his guys focus on the remaining tear off and to not continue shingling. My "friend" he speaks of is Ron Perry from Perry Construction out of Temperance Michigan. Ron wouldn't have had a problem doing the job if he wasn't booked solid.. He did offer to let us use his metal break if Jerry was to do the siding since jerry didn't have one. Which explains why he didn't get the siding job. No break, no walk pics, no ladder jacks to me means no experience and to much time. As far as needing roof repairs....... Our house is 94 years old and you would expect it to need a few repairs if you know your craft.. I will not keep beating a dead horse I have text and receipts to prove what I have to say.. HE WAS PAID IN FULL FOR THE FULL JOB his biggest argument is that I didn't pay him for the shingle roof right after it was done. He never left the job site he came back the next day to start the rubber roof.. I didn't cheat on any money I have the invoice stating paid in full. As far as my son, if he wants to bring personal business into this ask him about his daughter....Go to his facebook and look at my proof there. He blocked me from posting anymore.
