The next day, the system automatically checked me out so I had to re-check in at the front desk. There was a convention in town so the line was long both times. I tried to check out early to go to a different hotel and was told I couldn't because it was an "event weekend." It seems they were under-staffed. Overall, the rooms are small and the amenities are sparse. They do have a good breakfast with lots of food options and a nice bar downstairs. But I wouldn't stay here again.

It's a small hotel, but has great attention to detail. First, the design was warm, calming, and overall comfortable. I also liked the aesthetic, which felt a little Parisian (?). The premise and staff exuded a pride of ownership and service, which I always appreciate. While the breakfast may not have been as elaborate as some larger hotels, it was fantastic. As an aside, it's nice to have everything included (the mini bar, breakfast, etc.). Even the sauna and steam room were a nice amenity. Other examples of attention to detail... the electrical outlets included adapter for different plugs including USB-C. The bathroom included a table for additional counter space. The front desk included frog gummies (frog was their theme). Who thinks of all this? All these little thoughtful details really demonstrate care.
