I explained why I was referred to a Dermatologist and was shut down within second saying that it wasn't an actual skin issue. They didn't allow me to even explain what has been going on with me and how I got there. Being my first Dermatologist appointment I figured I would actually get like a skin check because that could be. leading to I have my issues, but no, they're very dismissive to my main cause stating it was not an issue. They barely even took the time to look at it. They kept stating the triggers and asking if I saw all the providers or got tests done. I already went through all that with them. Because of this, my lack of trust for other providers has surfaced. I cannot recommend them right now.

The waiting area is very bright and welcoming, and everything is so clean - a wonderful first impression that says 'details matter here' and made me feel like my care will be stellar. The receptionist was very friendly and welcoming. Shortly after arriving (hardly any wait time), I met Dr. Ashley Knavel. She performed a small procedure on me. Now, the procedure itself is not a pleasant one but Dr. Knavel made it bearable and worked quickly and carefully to complete it. It certainly wasn't my favorite part of my day but she did a superb job and was very gentle. I hope to never need this procedure again, but if I do: I'd go back to see Dr. Knavel. I did read the reviews here on Yelp - you should probably disregard *all* reviews prior to 2022. When I was in the office, I learned that this location (353 Kenmore Ave, in Tonawanda) used to belong to *another* dermatologist and that DeLuke Dermatology acquired the space a few years ago when that dermatologist retired, and even expanded the space. It is my understanding that this location has a completely new staff from the staff that was here prior to 2022. Which makes sense because everyone I spoke with or was helped by was very pleasant. Oh, and: they have their own parking lot, with plenty of spaces.

She looked at every mark, which is the way it should be. Everyone was so nice & very easy to talk to & explain things to. They were REALLY listening & comforting. After about 6 months was experiencing some pain, returned to Lenahan, saw PA. Her suggestion was to go to same Plastic Surgeon who she KNEW there was a problem with and seemed quite entertained by it. Kept asking if I needed his #. Found another Plastic Surgeon on my own, but needed a referral. After lots of calls trying get that done, they got a referral and gave me an appointment for a year later, Must have been some referral. Funny thing, went a different Dermatology Office, who sent me to an ENT who called SAME Plastic Surgeon and got an appointment in 2 weeks. Do NOT appreciate having my health screwed with. My "therapist" was late to every session and I don't think I got a full 30 minute session ever. It is NOTATED on my file that I have anxiety at ANY appointment of COURSE my heart rate is high! They also said they didn't have another EKG to compare it to when I had another EKG done at Trinity Medical, so is this staff truly THAT lazy, incompetent and dense that they are unable to make a simple phone call to get those records? Now who knows what I face, let it be known that if this tumor gets any worse, Primary Care will be getting the blame. Truly have shown me how little they actually care about their patients. I was also told I would be getting a call at 11:30AM today (6/5/26) and as of 3:00PM I STILL HAVE NOT HEARD ANYTHING.
