It turns out my worries were completely unfounded, as the entire staff at Camp College immediately put my mind at ease. Nurse Amira managed my child's Allergy Action Plan like a pro, and the staff in turn took careful safety precautions to ensure that there were no accidental exposures. Anthony, Christine, and Stacie were wonderful about making accommodations so that my son could participate alongside his neurotypical peers, and he even had a special "buddy counselor" who he absolutely loved! Both Science and Arts camps were exciting and engaging, with new projects and experiments being returned home daily. Camp College is truly a family, where each child is respected, included, and cherished. I cannot recommend this organization enough!

It's a great place to take kids, and admission is free! The museum has exhibits, hands-on interactive displays, a cool night theater show, and a children's discovery/play room. You could also observe many beautiful and exotic bird species fly to and fro around the bird feeders out back through a large window. Upstairs are classrooms and a small library area. There are many hiking trails, including the Sensory Trail, a child-friendly 0.3 mile loop with special sensory exploratory features such as talking kiosks, musical play, and garden structures. There is also a playground and picnic areas in the vicinity. In addition, if you care to explore other parts of this 2,000+ acre reservation, drive or hike to nearby Watchung Stable to see the horses and riders; and for sure visit the Deserted Village of Feltville, a can't-miss area of Watchung with historic buildings dating back to the 18th century, and is a cool stroll.

We visited on a Friday afternoon during the school year and it was the perfect day for it, not crowded at all, staff was warm and attentive everywhere you turned, and there was just so much to explore across two floors. As a homeschool mom, I am always on the lookout for places where kids are learning without even realizing it and this delivered completely. My little ones were engaged the entire time, bouncing between exhibits and coming back to do things on repeat. The water table on the second floor was a huge hit (dam building = instant obsession), the crawl-through body exhibit had them giggling the whole way through, and the immersive hall with the giant projector and the orchestra activity where they put their faces into the performers? They talked about that the whole ride home. We timed our visit to catch the 3 o'clock otter feeding and training, definitely worth planning around. Maybe 30 people gathered and it was totally manageable and really sweet to watch. What surprised me most was how engaged I was as an adult. I was genuinely learning things alongside my kids, which is not always the case at these types of places. It felt appropriate and interesting for every age in our group. A few things to know before you go: follow the directions on their website for the specific parking garage , it's about a 5-minute walk and was only $5 for us. Strollers and wagons are totally doable with elevators throughout. They also have a café if you want to make a full day of it, and rotating special exhibits (always check the website ahead of time so you know what's on and whether it fits your crew). We stayed about two and a half hours and left happy. Already thinking about when we're coming back.

Everything was interactive and modern with just enough text and things to immerse myself in to keep my attention. I especially loved that there are live animals I can see including otters! Some of the fish seemed a bit crammed in their tanks. :/ And I was excited to see the live animal reveal...but it was a cold day and this happened on the upstairs pavillion outside so, being a California guy who had checked my coat in the free coat check lockers, it was too cold for me to stick with it. There were all kinds of heaters out there that weren't on which would have made a big difference to me (or anyone who gets cold easily) had they turned those on. I was there with a group of ten with adults and kids ranging from 4-16. Everyone had a good time and had plenty to do and interact with.

My oldest has been enrolled in KA of UF for over 7 years. Starting fulltime at 12 weeks old and since moving to their before/after care. Newell Elementary School provides bussing to and from the center which makes it convenient to have one place to drop off and pick up both kids. My youngest has been in for over 3 years and was fulltime through the pandemic since I was an essential worker and required to be in the office. The policies they implemented, intense cleaning regiment, and open communication they provided throughout made me feel comforted that he would be safe and healthy during the pandemic. KA has always treated my family like family. From the moment you walk in you are greeted with smiles and pleasant hellos which are only echoed by the teachers when dropping your kids off in their classrooms. You can tell the teachers truly care for your children and their well-being. The hallways are covered with artwork and pictures of fun activities that change throughout the year. The classrooms have even more artwork revolving around a theme for the season. The education program is great, with the school year having weekly themes that have a logical flow for the children to follow. Besides the administrative staff, Naylon (the owner) is there (almost) everyday and her door is always open to listen to your compliments, concerns, or issues. The entire staff is always very open and honest about issues, potential closures, or illnesses. There is always important information provided through the Tadpole app to keep you informed. Including fun events that they put on periodically throughout the year like trunk or treat, muffins with mom, donuts with dad, magic shows, and more. Always hoping yoga with goats will come back. As an added bonus, KA of UF also has cameras which is always a nice comfort. I enjoy peeking in on my youngest periodically to see what kind of chaos he is causing.

I would rate this high school 0 stars, but unfortunately, I cannot. This school is the worst high…read moreschool I have ever been to. They don't care about you what so ever. When something is reported, it is always going back on you like karma. They have the stupidest policies "the teachers have to follow". And yet when something is reported against you, "it is always for the best for the student." The staff and teachers are bitchy to you when they see you "have an attitude" when you are just defending yourself. Once you get to realize someone is pushing you around and bullying you, there is never enough of it. Because you cannot tel or trust in the teachers or the staff. Kids with an IEP (Individualized Education Program) are always to be considered "troubled kids" or "autistic ones" or "mentally insane ones". Brendan Connelly, the Case Manager, accuses students of not being strong enough for your classes, he also states some students are "lazy" when in reality they are just tired of not understanding concepts enough. He forces kids to "leave their comfort zones". He makes kids choose options or he will pick for them even if the kid doesn't like it. He also said there was a program for vocational-technical schools that will provide credits for college. Many IEP kids didn't want to do it, but of course, he made them go and he secretly signed them up for the program. They will discriminate you, they will just trust me on this one. When you are in fear of your safety by someone they do not handle it correctly. I'm only a junior, and I can tell you many of the worst experiences I have. The people are judgemental, they are racist, they are discriminatory, they are the dumbest people to ever work with, they don't believe anything you say, not even if you are in fear of your own safety. When someone threatens you, they don't have your back, all they do is base their handlings by books."Well, no one has testified anything else and they have no recollection of these events, so therefore also since your history." Ahhhh history, history, history. That's right, history. They discriminate kids for their history and mental health history. They think they can be trusted with the fear of coming to school and your safety. You think you can trust your teachers with the problems you have, but nope, don't trust them. All they will do is look at your past. They discriminate behind your back, they talk about you behind your back, they judge you for every little thing and mistake you do. It shows you they have no pity for any of their students. Probably why they have the absurdest rules. 3 lates to class and it is afterschool detention. 3 lates to the school, a Saturday detention. They have no empathy towards others, staff is horrible, they rely on the "rules the school has. The lunches are terrible. They serve the same thing every day. Bullying and harassment towards other students are never handled. And if it is, it's probably to "show them how much we care". Although, if you report someone or something, it is either never handled, or never even checked. Or they can suspend you for "dishonesty/lying. It is sad to me that a fear of safety, mental health issues, bullying, and harassment reports are considered a "disruption" and you get suspended just for defending yourself and others.... it is sad to see they have no empathy towards others. It is sad to see that the staff there think that your mental health problems should be disciplined. If you want your child to suffer throughout high school, don't put him/her here. Trust me, just don't. If you want your child to get crappy lunches, crappy staff, and crappy teachers, and get suspended for being in fear of your safety, go for it.
