There are numerous "ranch hands" (green shirts) walking around assisting customers. They are very knowledgeable. Trisha said it's her 5th year working there and we could tell she was happy and enjoyed talking to people. Another ranch hand, Austin, readily went to get Pat a cart for her purchases. They really thought of everything. They sell coffee, snacks, cold drinks, and there was even a dog treat vendor since it is a dog-friendly place. They sell any kind of plant accessory, and brand tees. I noticed there was incense burning in the house plant building. The areas are identified by the giant statues, for instance, we were in the Unicorn space where we were looking at shade perennials. There is a separate building where you can check out, with multiple cashiers so the wait wasn't long. There was also live music from a 3 person band playing instruments and singing. It was only a 30 minute drive from Columbus and worth a visit. It is worth many visits if you want to purchase lots of plants.

This is off the highway on the way to the airport. There is a large parking lot, and the greenhouse is huge! I went in for one thing & walked out with more than 10. I hand-build tiny, tiny ceramic pots, so I'm always looking for tiny plants to put in them. Straders has only a small selection of these pots & they are $6-15 depending on plant. DeMonye's had 10x the variety of what I usually find at Straders, and they were $4.49!! I did a little dance. You can find annuals, perennials, indoor plants, bulbs, seeds, soil, garden decor, pots, you name it! I also found flowers and berry plants for my garden. The staff was super knowledgeable and friendly. They said to check out their Facebook and IG for updates of what's in stock!

So stop in very soon if you want to go one more time. We've been coming here for a decade, they've been here for almost a century. It's very handy for us, and usually had most of what we need. Service was great, prices were decent. And convenience has a quality of its own. Now where will we go? Next closest place is probably Oakland, which is fine but at least 15 minutes away.

Yesterday I planned to just go to another greenhouse close to Columbus. I made it there plus another greenhouse which was just 15 minutes away from here. I thought to myself, well how far is Baker's from here? 12 minutes?!? Okay, lets go! (I was by myself so it was a much needed solo car trip!) As I pulled into Bakers, I noticed there were very few cars in the parking lot, which I was ok with. I dont care much for crowds but on the other hand, I dont want to be the only one there either. I walked into the greenhouse and came across the beautiful pots that quickly got my attention. Then I saw house plants!! whoo hoo!! I was on a mission to find a plant or two that I would like to have that I dont have already. Then I found the one. A Twisted Sister Snake plant. Its been on my wishlist too! I quickly chose one that I thought that looked the most healthiest. I was drawn to many of the other types of flowers and plants there too. I ended up buying one of those and a Brazil pothos. Love!! Their plant selection there was out of this world and I would recommend anyone to come here! I will definitely be back!!

Outdoor plants and herb sections don't disappoint either - my most recent visit I got cone flowers for one of my flower beds and some potting soil. Not all potting soil is created equal and the Happy Frog brand they carry is great.
