I absolutely love this place! Every time I drive by, I make sure to stop in. So happy the place gets better and better each time. They have made a lot of improvements over the years. Alpacas , camel, zonkey, turtles, bunnies, lambs, goats, chickens, ducks and peacocks.

I saw a comment about the camel being in the heat... Wondering how hot it was for the person reviewing to be concerned. Camels live in the dessert (mostly Middle East) they can handle temperatures as high as 130. I wasn't too worried about the camel, I would be more worries about the Rabbits and the Zonkey (zebra/donkey mix) The goats do have this grass/carpet they walk on instead of walking on hot concrete. I went to this zoo mid August, right next to gas station. I think what these animals need is just a bit more space. The man taking care of this place was very nice!

The wife and I were headed from Las Vegas, Nevada to Salt Lake City, Utah in 2021. Midway we stopped at a random gas station. Low and behold we stopped next door to the Scipio Petting Zoo. No entrance fee so we stretched our legs. Rabbits, Goats, Peacocks, Turkeys great you as you first enter, further inside you'll meet large tortoise's, llama, a camel, and zonkeys. Here we were driving to Salt Lake City for something and suddenly we're petting goats, llamas, and zonkeys! In the middle of nowhere we're looking at a camel and petting zonkeys! How cool. A few days later we were driving back to Las Vegas, we stopped for another visit. For something that had no entrance fee and wasn't planned, I can't complain. 2022 saw another trip through Utah, this time my 15 and 13 year old kids we're with us and loved every minute of being there. The kids stopped to hold and pet bunny rabbits first. I was asked by one of the caretakers if I would like to feed the camel. You bet I did, can't say you pet let alone fed a camel every day. Turns out the camel goes by the name Wednesday. I had just turned my back to Wednesday when I was out of food for her. My family had watched me and as I turned to speak to them, something happened, it felt like Wednesday had tried to take a bite off the top of my head. I turned back towards Wednesday and all I could hear was my family and the caretaker laughing. "Did Wednesday just try to take a bite off my head?" Still laughing the caretaker informed me that Wednesday wanted to give me a kiss. As I was feeding the camel, I was also petting her chin and front of her neck, apparently this is something she loves. Can't say you've been kissed by a camel every day.

I always stop because it's right next to a pilot truck stop you can see the animals but I can't figure out if it's still open. Wish the camel had more room to roam

I told the camel he was being abused and he appeared to roll over dead. Not sure.

I am concerned about the camel. May or may not have died today. He looked sad so i talked to him for a bit. Then he rolled over and was unresponsive. I fear for his life.

We came here when it was closed but the girl working there let us come in to look at the animals anyway :) lots of birds and animals here including a camel and a cute little mini-horse. The animals seem happy. Great view of the sunset!

Wow! What an awesome experience seeing these unique animals! Eddie is an absolute gentleman and we can't wait to drive through this spot to visit with our family again!!

Incredibly cruel. The animals don't have nearly enough space or stimulation. They even have a camel by itself. So sad, I nearly cried.

I stumbled across Utah Valley Llamas by accident on a Utah tourist website. I am so glad I did!!!!…read moreLet me tell you everything you need to now about Utah Valley Llamas: The farm is located on the grounds of the Sri Sri Radha Krishna Hindu temple. As we were waiting for our tour of the llama farm to start, we got a free tour of the temple. It was cool to learn basics of the Hindu religion, and it gave us base information for some of the animals we were about to see on the farm tour! Vai, referred to as the "llama mama," was awesome! She is an older lady who is very blunt but full of love for her religion and her animals. I am not Hindu, but it was very refreshing to see someone care so much about religion. Vai showed us her fancy birds, fish, llamas, and sacred cows. She was full of knowledge and allowed us to take a hands-on approach to learning about the animals. She even cracked a joke: When I read that mama llamas hum to their babies, she said, "Do you know why they hum?" ..... "Because they don't know the words." It was so funny, and she delivered it perfectly, with a straight face. I'll admit, I was very scared to get close to the llamas. They're pretty big, and they come really close to you when they know you have food. They were all so gentle and calm, though, and they didn't spit at all! Vai told us that they only spit on other llamas or when they feel threatened. Feeding the llamas out of my hands was terrifying, but it became less scary as time went on. Llamas only have bottom teeth, so their top lips rubbed against my hands as I fed them. We forgot to bring sliced apples and baby carrots, so make sure you do that! After the llamas, Vai showed us the sacred cows. They are tiny and cute. We got to feed them, too, and they were much grosser than the llamas when they ate. Their tongues were huge, and they made your hands disgusting after. It was gross, but TOTALLY worth the experience! I just washed my hands after. (: We had such a cool, unique experience at Utah Valley Llama. It was amazing to be so close to all the llamas and learn about them, and it was awesome to learn more about the Hindu religion in relation to their animals and eating habits. If you're in Utah, definitely take a tour of the llama farm! It will not disappoint!

Went for a date on a Saturday morning to pick peaches with my girlfriend. It was only $15 for a whole box of big, juicy peaches! (I think the normal price is $20 but they were doing a special for the holiday). The farm was easy to find off google maps and once we arrived and got our boxes we could drive right up near the trees. We wandered through the rows of peaches and filled up our boxes. It was fun to pick the fruit ourselves so that we could get all the biggest and best ones. I liked it so much more than buying a box at the store! It even seemed like they had lots of different varieties of peaches and other fruit to pick too. Probably best to call to make sure of their hours/availability beforehand. This place is perfect for a date, family outing, or fun summer activity!

We visited at opening on a Sunday and it wasn't crowded at all. We saw so many cool exhibits, a leopard, a dwarf cuttlefish, flash light fish, many types of sea horses, birds, a sloth, an octopus, an otter, and so much more. It was clean and easy to walk around. I liked how many of the exhibits were lower so my 2 year old could see them on his own. They had cool indoor and outdoor spaces, a big slide, an awesome indoor playground that costs $3 extra per kid, a free small outdoor playground, tables inside and outside, a giant ship for kids to play in, and educational programs throughout the day. It was a really great visit.

I think the last aquarium I visited before this one was the Monterey Bay Aquarium in California back in 2015. We arrived here a little after noontime on a Friday. I believe it was the last day of school for kids in Utah the same day we were here, so the parking lot was packed. But despite this, we were easily able to find a parking space close to the entrance. You purchase your ticket and then they scan it around the corner, prompting access to the aquarium. We saw so many animals here, including non-aquatic animals, such as various birds and reptiles. It kinda felt like that this was an aquarium/zoo hybrid. The first thing we saw were jellyfishes and how our visions differ from other animals' visions. It's important to remember not to use flash photography when taking pictures of all the animals, as this can spook them. The shark exhibit here, which was wild, was very similar to the one at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, where we live. Two separate touch tank are inside, featuring starfish, sea urchins, and stingrays. They have a South America exhibit and being inside felt like I was exactly in the middle of the jungle in South America with its' humidity in full effect. Inside this exhibit was a massive yellow anaconda, I believe it was about 48" long. I don't like snakes at all, and I'm not going to talk about this any further, so I didn't look at it too much. Other animals found in this exhibit were the red macaw parrot, a toucan, and some poisonous frogs. The frogs were trying to hide from us but weren't trying hard enough. Upon leaving, we almost missed out on seeing the Ford Expedition Asia exhibit (sponsored by the Ford Motor Company?), which can be found on the opposite side of the aquarium. It's a good thing we looked at the directory before we left, because we didn't see it when we first entered. This exhibit is definitely good for kids because they have a playground inside. Before leaving, we stopped at the gift shop and picked up some souvenirs to take back with us. I got myself a snow globe, a sticker to put on my water bottle, and a magnet for one of my friends who enjoys collecting magnets. They have a lot of stuff to choose from, but the snow globe, the sticker and the magnet were some of my favorites that caught my eye. This was definitely worth visiting! I highly recommend if you're ever in Utah.
