Yes granted I get it, people shank it and I could get hit but that's my prerogative. He ruined what was a relaxing golf practice and made it sour I ended up just leaving multiple practice balls behind because I didn't wanna hit near him. So for anyone that comes here for future reference YOU CANT PRACTICE WITH YOUR DRIVER off the grass. Instead they want you to POKE A HOLE in the turf so push hard.

While I realize it's a municipal course run by the city of Provo it severely lacks in every way, shape & form. My husband reserved us a tee time for what should have been a great date night out. We love golf and it's been a hot minute since we've had a chance to go play. He reserved us to play the 9 hole Pasture course. First, the signs directed us to the right past the bridge behind the clubhouse. When the first hole was actually just to the left of the driving range. Also, I can't say how far but it was exactly but it was quite a walk and so confusing to find that first hole. The tee box if you will call it was chock full of divets. This so called tee box has no turf but appears to be regular grass? Also, some tee boxes didn't line up very well with the green. So often times trying to figure out which green / flag to aim for was confusing, Apparently filling divets or raking a bunker is not necessary or a required rule on the Pasture course from what I could tell. Over the loud speaker they told us to pair up with a young couple of 2. This is ridiculous. I wanted to spend time with my husband not with twenty something year olds. So we let them go ahead. By the 6th hole we were done. It just wasn't a pleasant place to play. We decided to hit the driving range before leaving but that was an even worse experience. It does look like they installed some new turf boxes but it was coned off and we were unable to use it. We headed out onto the grass which was also awful. People were playing in weird places. Sone out farther, sone behind the rope lines, others inside it. But regardless the grass and dirt made it completely difficult to hit a ball unless you had a tee. I'm really disappointed that my date night was ruined by such awful maintenance of a course. The views are gorgeous but this is not a place I'd return unless the City of Provo can turn this around.

Wasn't even enjoyable. Felt like I was in a hurricane. A worker says that's pretty usual so I wouldn't golf again at that time. Later the wind got better. Unfortunately we were golfing with a lawn mower in every single hole. I know they have their job but they'd see we need/want to chip on and we had to wait for them to put the flag back in, or they'd sort of be in our way. We played the back nine, so that's maybe why they were there. Still, wish a worker would've told us that was the situation. At the same time, the mowers were very nice as well and even helped us find our ball. The course is well maintained and I love the golf club house. Really nice and modern. Good day on the golf course. Curious if I would come back, but I did enjoy myself.

But the thing I hate about this course is that I've called about 15 to 20 times left a message on the answering machine never got a call back and the best they could tell me is we're helping out clients and I understand that but give the call back at least because without a set up teetimes you won't have any customers to take care of in the shop . And I normally bring at least six coworkers that plays because of me .you figure they would at least give me a call back never from this place. I've talked to their manager Jordan and he's not in control of the situation. He said we're doing the best we can Which I doubt. I understand the busy part but at least give a call back. Check your messages. Once an hour. Once every two hours shoot I wouldn't care if it's once every three hours. Been golfing for 23 years plus never had this problem.

Challenging tee short on #3 through the gap between the trees was interesting, as was the big dog leg right on the par 5 fifth hole. I do have a few suggestions to improve the golfing experience for this course. 1. Please water at night and not during the day. It was not fun dodging sprinklers on almost every hole. 2. Upgrade and update the bunkers. They all needed fresh sand and all the weeds in them need to be pulled. 3. The tee boxes on #3 all need to be trimmed. The grass was a good two to three inches high. All in all, I enjoyed my experience, and I hope to play the course again as I travel back and forth from Las Vegas to Montana multiple times a year.

So, the other day I was again making the drive between southern Utah and the Wasatch front. It was a nice, sunny day and as I was driving past this golf course I remembered my clubs were still in the trunk from my semi-regular game with the fellas. I almost talked myself out of it thinking I should just keep driving in order to get home timely. Being spontaneous seemed like a good idea and I realized it was now or never. I pulled off and went to check it out. I found the clubhouse (which shares a parking lot with a motel) and checked in to play 9 holes. 23 bucks including cart. Found the first tee box and tee'd off in complete quiet except for the birds and some traffic noise. As I started down the fairway I realized I was the ONLY person on the course (which was strange but very fun). I made par on the first 2 holes without having to cheat at all. Just kidding, I didn't have to cheat. Anyway who would know if I did cheat (which I didn't). The greens were super soft and spongy. My approach shot on 8 actually plugged (fried-egg style) in the green! Never seen that before. Played 1-9 in about 70 minutes. Fun, flat course with bail-out landing areas on driver holes. I'll be back to play again, someday.

This is a great course for beginning golfers. Overall the course is short. You will be playing your short irons on par 3's and most of your approach shots. Most fairways are wide. There are very few trees so errant shots are easily played from other fairways - a god send if you slice, I know I use to. Greens are simple - no tuff reads here. Green fees are cheap - you'll make your dollar stretch here. You may play some slooooow golf here when the tee times are full.
