She suggested giving my Pom-Chi a shave as she is double coated and it is hot as Hades here in the desert. I am here for a number of months caring for a sick relative. Both my girls came back looking great. Happy and my old lady loves her shave as she is no longer beyond uncomfortably hot. She is like a puppy she is so comfortable. The shave was expertly done as no skin showing. It is even and smooth. I'm completely impressed!

Because our dog pooped on her new grooming table. Then she went on a rant about dogs peeing and pooping in her new shop. "I'm so tired of dogs lifting there leg in my new shop". I reminded her that our dog is a female and that dogs are animals and you can't just demand them to pee or poop on command. She then told me that she going to start charging me an extra $10 EVERY time because my dog pooped on her table once in 3 years. She seems to care more about her new shop than her customers. At the time of my booking, Green Valley Groomers had a four plus rating- judging by Yelps' star display. What disservice...This was an awful experience for me, never to be repeated. Prior to my booking for overnight boarding, I dropped in to check out the place. I was taken aback by the stench, however the owner/employee (?) seemed to know the business and answered my questions to my satisfaction. She seemed to be professional and caring. So I booked, and confirmed our boarding dates the day before our drop off. On the day of delivery, we arrived with our two whippets, their food, dishes, bedding, comfort toys and blankies. We had arranged for an early drop off (8 a.m.) only to be met with a closed kennel with an aggressive guard dog snarling at us through the door. No one was there, which led me to the realization that no-one was on site during the overnight. We were able to contact the owner/employee via the phone and was told that she was unable to reach us because she was at the emergency and didn't have our phone number. She was going to call us to tell us when we could expect to drop off the dogs (again), however that was our last contact with her. So there we were, frazzled, with two dogs, a nonrefundable plane ticket and an nonrefundable room booking at our destination resort. After an inordinate amount of hassle, we were able to recoup a pittance of our monetary outlay. If any idiot ignores this review and decides to board their dogs with Green Valley Groomer, I hope that they have a very reliable Plan B.

Horrible situation! I had an 8am appt for my 2 dogs. No one…read morethere. Left 2 messages, no return call. Passed by at 8:25. The open sign was flipped to "open" and there were 2 guys standing off to the side. When I opened the door, a female was sleeping on the couch but got up when we walked in. Not a word from her. She then laid back down. Then one of the guys that had been standing outside came in and asked who we were! I said we were there for our 8 o clock appt. but when I saw dogs running around and several large pee spots on the concrete floor and the condition of the business, I said no thanks and left. About 30 minutes later a call from them showed up on my phone but as soon as they realized it was me they hung up! OMG what a terrible business. I would under no circumstances leave my dogs with them. I don't know who the 3 dogs who were left to run amok behind the counter were, but if they were boarding them, I am appalled. If not i feel sorry for them if they were their dogs.

When I asked an employee what was wrong with it she said she didn't know and it might be stress but they tried to move it to the back but that didn't work and now it's adoptable. Almost all of the enclosures are practically bare and neglectful. How is it not considered abuse?

Half of the time the products I need aren't available and are higher priced. Very mixed results with grooming and dog always super stressed after his visit. Mixed results with staff interaction too, they sometimes seem disinterested, and I have had to wait quite a while for service.
