As a long-time rescuer who knows a lot about groomers, Aunt Cheryl's is THE best I've ever known. Unlike 'big box' places like Petco/Petsmart where I've witnessed burns from too-hot clippers, or smaller shops where they sometimes step away from the dog, resulting in a fall off the table or even worse: when it's in a table leash and can wind up hanging from it (!); Cheryl's does an amazing job and the pups safety is their highest priority. Prices are reasonable; you can even walk in for a quick nail trim if they aren't terribly busy. I know you can't please everyone, but to counter the VERY few negative reviews: I noticed my little guy had one sharp dew claw remaining. So I brought him back and they fixed it in a flash. I Aunt Cheryl's!!! PS: a little known secret is that you can drop off your well-socialized dog for a play date, for five dollars, when they are open (9-5 most days, closed Sun, Mon, Thursday). I'm writing this while mine is playing with his new friends, indoors. He looked up me, then went right back to his buddies. read more

Oliver is part Maine Coon and the former groomer moved to Sierra Vista. He is fiesty and strong. We had not been to a professional groomer. Needless to say I didn't know what to expect. Cheryl was absolutely amazing. Oliver was a good boy (he had his drugs.) He is a happy boy. Our pup had her first AZ grooming yesterday and feels so much better! We were very surprised by the number of dogs that arrived at the same time and when I asked, they explained how their process was set up. We have always used a mobile groomer in our home state and because Aunt Cheryl's way is not our usual way of grooming our girl, I am not sure if we would have scheduled if we knew their practice upfront. Live and learn, WE ARE VERY SATISFIED with our pups cut and groom. We also think that the amount of time spent there was good for her. She was not at all traumatized, fearful or mad at mom and dad for taking her to aunt Cheryl's! Our groomer did take time to recap her experience with my husband and prices are fair! I made an appointment to have my 10# poodle mix groomed. I was told Morgan would be her groomer. When I picked Minnie up, Kim said that she had groomed my dog because Morgan was too busy. How did that happen? Didn't she have assigned customers for the day? I wanted Minnie's feet shaved. One was shaved almost to the elbow and the other 3 looked like they weren't touched. Her face was to be a small "teddybear" cut, but was just sort of round with gouges from the sissors or clippers. She had stray strands of hair where her ears had been clipped. Her body was good, but all she had to do was run the clippers over that. I will be going somewhere else next time. read more

I won't return! This was my first grooming appointment at Cheryl's shop. The building stinks to high heaven. I could hardly stand the odors. One employee was friendly- others were not. The main problem was that I specifically asked for a cut with puffy hair on his head, shorter hair on his body and longer hair on his tail as my dog is a Shih-Tzu. It was a terrible cut. It was not at all what I had requested. My dog was very upset when we left. The appointment took 3 hours. No one called me to return - I just showed up. It was not a good experience. read more

This shop knocks it out of the park!!! Customer service, care and attentive treatment of our pets. We have 4 dogs(one who is blind) and a cat. Cheryl takes them all. Price is so fair and reasonable. Best value and service hands down. We wont go anywhere else. Dogs can run around in a communal setting so they can play with other dogs if you wish. Great, no stress environment for our knuckleheads! If I could give this place zero stars I would. I took my dog to get groomed and have his nails trimmed here. First of all, his grooming was so bad that I'm convinced that the girl that did it must have been blindfolded because it was the worst job I have EVER seen. His hair was not groomed, it was chopped! Second, the only nails trimmed were his right front paw and right back paw. For some reason his left paws were left long and untouched. The worst part about this whole ordeal was that they nicked his genitals!! He had a long, red scratch for days. It is obvious that they do everything rushed and without care. I don't think these people care about the animals they just want to make money. If you really care about your pet, DO NOT take your pet here. These people are horrible. My little dog was down for days after this visit. read more

I have been taking my dog here since he was a pup (he's 6 now). I have never had any problems other then a few loose hairs here and there but I could only imagine cutting a dogs entire coat is much like cutting an impatient toddlers hair. Their prices are reasonable and they have never been anything less then polite to me and my pup. Prices have only increased a little over the years and that is to be expected. Over the years competition in this area has grown, but I believe, if it ain't broke, then don't fix it! We'll continue to use Aunt Cheryl's for our canine grooming needs read more
