Local in the area I took my dog here once a month for couple of years. Till one day after his visit to the groomers he started acting weird. Inspecting the dog his skin began to shake anytime I touched his back. To make a long story short took him the vet the day after, vet confirmed he was in a great deal of pain. Stating she usually see's this in falls. I have a large dog never do I pick him up. I brought this to their attention...they did not care. Did not want to make it right. Yeah do not bring your pets here. Let me also mention they usually kept my dog for over half day 4 plus hours at time when I would schedule. So of course I'm suspicious what could happen during that time. Taking to another place I recommend fluff and buff. read more

They cut cats like poodles. They shaved my cats belly. It took 3 hours. They dont feed or water your pet. After my cat was done they sat him on the floor. Right above him like one table over was a barking dog getting cut. read more

two weeks ago I took my dog the be bathed and groomed by this store. I have dealt with the owner before on various occasions over the years and have always found him to be very reasonable and understanding of what I was requesting for my dog. This past experience is causing me to have second thoughts about using this business ever again. It is my understanding that grooming to my indicates a trim. I took my dog into this store, and found two new under faces that I had never seen before. To me they looked like the summer employees. I presented my dog to them and told them that he was here for a wash, the grooming and please cut the fur back on his butt as it was getting a bit thick. I also asked that they shave his belly closer so the when he lays on the concrete he can bleed the heat off. Sounds reasonable... Right? Apparently the gentleman behind the counter didn't hear the word "grooming" because when my dog came back to me , he was not a happy camper. The trim on his butt wasn't even, they only shaved his belly and its not even even, and they didn't do the rest of the trim on his legs, around his ears etc. I paid for it ($100) and left. I then went back in and asked the person behind the counter to ask Randy to call me. To date I have not heard a word. If the 'children' that are running this store now for the owner I would caution you about taking your animals to them because these people don't care about you or your animal that you are entrusting to them even for a moment. There are plenty of other animal groomers in the area that Im sure will do a good job for you. This new crew that Randy has hired get a MINUS 5 Stars in my book. I won't reccommend them to anyone. disappointed! I took my bichon to this groomer and they chopped her hair all up. She's a mess. They didn't blow her out so it's all curly. They didn't clean her eyes. She looks terrible. The head area looks really bad. They made her look like a poodle! read more

My cat Gus was given the worst lion cut I've ever seen. He's a part Maine Coon long- hair, and his ruff was completely removed on the back, and partially removed on the bottom and sides, with rough edges in between. You couldn't fix it without removing the rest of his ruff! The staff was courteous but not friendly. read more

Alfonso took care of my dog and then he was gone. My Coco was clipped too short, her nails were bleeding and matted on her legs and feet. I returned her there two days later and they said I got her wet and charged me $10. I found Alfonso and drive to Tucson. He is the best. I'd give these guys 0 stars if I could. They absolutely failed our Australian Shepherd on a bath and trim. I think the Manager's name is Alan? He claims to be the Owner and if this guy is the owner, he needs to step away and let people with customer service experience handle his job. Wow. They shaved his legs and very poorly cut the sides by his chest/ribs, leaving square marks that look TERRRRRRIBLE. They claim he had matting everywhere. (He didn't) He may have had 1 mat. They shaved his back end but not to the skin. They said it was so bad that it would have made him bleed if they tried to brush it out. But they didn't shave to the skin.... They clearly don't understand Aussie fur or matting. They want to fight and say this is a good job. You tell me. These people are immature and try to put it all back on us saying we are bad pet owners (an animal abuser) and he's treated inhumane. This dog is a show dog and and cared for beyond what these people would even understand. Be careful if you complain to them. They'll try their best to go on the attack and call you whatever they can. This dog has been cared for and groomed by Aussie show people for his whole life until here. Now there's a problem???? Unreal. I still cannot believe they wouldn't contact the OWNERS if they found such a radical problem with the dog. I'm absolutely FURIOUS with their garbage customer service. BBB complaint filed. P.S. Look at the other 1 and 2 star reviews. Then go on Google and look at the 1 star reviews there... then look at the immature responses from the Owners. Having only lived in GV a short time adjusting trying to find certain things had been a challenge. Pet grooming is one. It's really not necessary or important to detail my failures. But hallelujah I hit the jackpot! I first scheduled my little boy Rusty the ShihTzu. I explained what I wanted for Rusty and when I picked him up, I was very happy. Later in the week my adopted rescue BradleyCoopertheDog had his turn. Bradley is a little more tricky. He's a poodle mix. I'm very particular about his style and they got it perfectly! Thank you Randy! I highly recommend Wags and Whiskers. I do want to mention I paid more for Bradley than I had anywhere else in the past but the fact he was groomed to my satisfaction I'm not concerned of the cost. Support this business! Grooming: I have brought my dog here twice now, and both times she was very well taken care of & came out looking cute & feeling refreshed. They added Christmas bows to her ears which were super cute. Customer service: After brining her home I noticed (what looked like an inch long slice in the back of her ear) and I PANICKED. I will not attach photos because there is no point. I emailed the owner & he called me very quickly explaining to me in detail was the legitimate cause of the illusion of a cut behind her ears. While there is a legitimate tiny nic, this is almost to be expected with a dog moving around as much as I'm sure she was. Cost; with tip, I pay around $88 for a bathe / shave which seems fair to me Overall I'm very happy with the grooming service as well as the customer service, I would recommend to a friend read more

I took my yorky in to get her trimmed, bathed, and nails clipped and she came home looking like she had a mid life crises. I even showed the a photo of how I wanted her hair cut. Paid 66$ for what I could have done at home with my beard trimmers. They cut one of her nails so short it was bleeding and fails to tell me. I only noticed when I thought I had cut myself from the blood on my hand and pants from her. Needless to say I will not be going back and I do not recommend them. read more

Do not recommend. I was a new client looking to have my small dog get the complete package- bath, cut, nails, teeth and ears. Also I very specifically said to shave her butt because she's a furry Pomeranian and it keeps her comfortable. Filled this request out online and repeated in person. 3 hours later picked her up and it looked like nothing was done. Her hair was the same length, butt not shaved. Later at home I checked her nails and only the front paws were done. My dog is friendly but shy and has been going to groomers her whole life so it wasn't like she was hard to groom. At petsmart she always got a great report. I wanted to support a small business but they did a very lazy job. Back to the Petsmart professionals who actually do the work. read more

Second time I took my dog here, first time was great. This time he didn't want to go and was scared. Once inside he kept backing up to door and was scared. I came and paid when they brought him out, they took him back because they did not trim around his eyes. The groomer kept trying to brush out snags. When I got my dog to the car I noticed his front paws were still dirty, really? After they were supposed to give him a bath? I went back in and complained, turned around and walked out before I could hear their lame excuses. I guess all the bad reviews are legit. read more

I've been taking my dog Max to Wags and Whiskers for a couple years now. Every visit has been beyond my expectations. The staff has always been very pleasant, polite, and professional. They treat Max with care and always do a great job with his cute cut. I recently got a new pup, Obi, who had his first visit today. The man who helped Obi today went above and beyond to make him comfortable in this new environment for him. He did a phenomenal job with his cut considering he needed to be shaved down. This is a wonderful groomer! The office itself is super clean and decorated really cute! The grooming stations are all out in the open so you can see what is happening and the atmosphere is really nice. My dog has been going to them for almost a year and she always is excited to see them. Her cut is always clean and what I ask I for. They always do a good job. Koda usually sees Randy and she likes him, he groomers her exactly how I want and he's always very personable. I'm always happy with this groomer and will continue to be a customer! This is the third time we have been to this groomer, and they had been great. We took our dog in for a nail trimming today and while we waited, they trimmed her nails. It took approximately three minutes and the job looked like three minutes. They charge $25 instead of the normal $15, because they said our dog was aggressive which she was not she is fearful and does not bite just kicks out of fear. She is 17 pounds. Along with the $25. They charge a dollar for a credit card charge. Ridiculous. When we got home one dewclaw was not even trimmed, the others were done very poorly, especially for the price, and the most disturbing thing was three of her nails had been cut so short because they were in so much of a hurry. They were bleeding profusely. We called and talk to the manager and told her how disgusted we were. We used to recommend this place and will never recommend it again it's a rip off and they do a very very poor job. read more

95$ to groom a cat! !!My cat is still sopping wet. She has not made a sound since I picked her up and I can't tell if she has had much of a haircut at all. Any other groomer that I have taken her too has always dried her before pickup. Have a very uneasy feeling about her treatment. THIS IS THE WORST GROOMER I HAVE EVER BEEN TO! If I could possibly give this place no stars I 100% would ! I believe the owner is a dude with a man bun and he is very nice and professional however there is one girl groomer who works here and she straight up abuses the dogs she grooms. I have seen her rip through the dog she is groomings hair aggressively as the dog is clearly uncomfortable and in pain from the rough brushing. she has the absolute worst attitude and when you call her out for messing up she'll tell you that it's your dogs fault. Time after time I hear horror stories from this place about bad grooming, inappropriately handling dogs, and poor attitudes towards unhappy customers. This lady had no business working with animals and she needs to be fired ASAP! I don't believe the manager is a bad guy at all, I believe he truly does care about animals but should not be employing shitty people. About a month ago when I was getting my eyebrows waxed at the nail salon next door I heard the employees yelling at each other through the walls.
