As for the place itself: it's young, laid-back (babyfoot alert!), quite loud, not at all hipster. You can stay forever with your friends and nobody will try to come and force you into buying another drink. It's a genuine Irish pub insofar as it is owned by the one and only Peter Brady (ok, not the one and only, we've all seen the Brady Bunch), but this Peter is a real, live Irishman. Beer, liquor, even wine is served here. I've been told their food is good although I've rarely been in early enough to eat it. They have stacks of used books for your perusal along the back wall, and many games including the French Trivial Pursuit which has mercilessly stolen my pride on more than one occasion.

Came here to watch one of the World Cup soccer games but sat on the third floor because every other…read moretable was busy. While the bottom level was nicely decorated and clean, the upstairs was lacking. The service was very slow!!! I think they only had one guy taking orders at the bar so we had to order our drinks and food there. We waited about 15 mins in line at the bar to order and then 45 mins to actually get our food. Thankfully, the food was good - I had a burger and my friend had a Cesar salad.
