It's actually a pretty great little pub. Big windows open up to the street letting in a ton of natural light so you don't feel like you're drinking Guinness in a dungeon. The owner is friendly, and the locals who hang in the bar are mostly English expats. Had some lively footie discourse, sat in a nice leather chair, and enjoyed a lovely two hours of soccer before getting back to overeating foie gras and wine elsewhere. If you're a Spurs fan in Paris, this is where you want to be.

You can stay forever with your friends and nobody will try to come and force you into buying another drink. It's a genuine Irish pub insofar as it is owned by the one and only Peter Brady (ok, not the one and only, we've all seen the Brady Bunch), but this Peter is a real, live Irishman. Beer, liquor, even wine is served here. I've been told their food is good although I've rarely been in early enough to eat it. They have stacks of used books for your perusal along the back wall, and many games including the French Trivial Pursuit which has mercilessly stolen my pride on more than one occasion.

I got the permaculture and resilience. The resilience is a club favorite and my favorite too! The way the sorghum, pineapple sage (syrup), pasquet cognac, and savanna rum all tied together was a blessing. I was going to get a third but I was tipsy by my second drink. My first drink was the permaculture and while I was considered it would be strong, it didn't seem strong to me. I love clarified dairy in alcohol so this was a win in my book. It consists of chestnut, butter, wakaze umeshu, avallen Calvados. The bar let's you stay for an hour but if you sit elsewhere, you can stay as long as you want. 5 stars and I hope to come back someday!
