I don't know what the deal is with this place, but it was busy on Saturday afternoon. So many people, I had to wait and try it, I mean this is a good sign. I thought it would take a while, but service was beyond fast and efficient, it exceeded my expectations of how long it would take. Once I had my first bite of ice cream, I completely understood why there was a line of people. The ice cream was rich and very flavorful. This was a great find, as I was visiting. Came in here with my family on a Sunday afternoon and was so surprised at how many flavors they had available! Scooper extraordinaire Hannah was so friendly and let us try as many as we wanted before we finally decided. I ended up trying so many, but deciding on the red velvet it was delicious and the different textures with the real cake and cream cheese frosting. Made it a flavor explosion in my mouth! I opted for a kid size cup, which was still big enough to fill me up and even splurged on a chocolate chip cookie - I love breaking these up into my ice cream. Unfortunately, I don't live in the area or else I would come back here all the time ! Five of us got ice cream and we didn't even have to spend $30 read more

Walked into this great beach inspired, teal painted, ice cream decorated confectionery wonder! The people behind the counter were super nice and allowed me to sample some flavors before I settled on Pumpkin ice cream because it's Christmas in July!! Delicious!! Love this place! The employees are always so friendly and welcoming every time we come in. They have a huge variety of flavors to choose from, so there's always something new to try. Cute little ice cream shop in Downtown Fort Myers with a large amount of flavors. This is your classic cup, cone, sundae and shake shop. They had seasonal flavors available including egg nog, peppermint, and pumpkin. Scoops on First carries The Ice Cream Club brand which seems to be popular in this area. The flavors were fun and delicious. The two employees behind the counter were kind, patient and quick. The cost was extremely reasonable at just under $20 for 3 ice creams and toppings. There are a few tables inside the shop to enjoy your treat as well as tables outside. We ate outside where we could enjoy the bustle of the downtown area and the nice weather. read more

Our waitress where we had dinner told us your ice cream was the best in Michigan, so we decided to give it a try! Great service with a smile! Great prices that were very fair! When you walk in the door you know this place has character and then you look to the left and see an original picture of what memories this old building holds. It was sad seeing the picture of what hurricane Ian did to the street and even the ice cream shop, but I liked the message of "nice try Ian." It was so good to see them in business offering a variety of great ice cream flavors. I personally didn't love my butter pecan choice because it had SO MANY pecans and not enough ice cream but my son ate his vanilla cone up! Such a special place full of history. read more

Florida is hot as the gates of hell so I don't think you can wrong with opening an ice cream shop just about anywhere in this state. I was wandering around historic First Street in downtown Ft. Myers after dinner when I started craving a sweet treat. I happened to pass by Scoops and they were just what I was in the mood for. Scoops was founded in 2015 by two friends, Paula Renaud and Lori Large, who were also looking for a sweet after dinner treat but at time there weren't any ice cream shops in the downtown area. They opened Scoops in a space that was a barbershop in the 1800's and the rest is sweet history. Funny enough, the ice cream is made in Boynton Beach near where I live. The company makes 300 flavors so they are able to rotate different ones in. Scoops has freezer cases along one wall and some seating opposite it. There are 52 flavors of ice cream, plus hard packed yogurt and dairy free, 8 flavors of gelato, shakes, and smoothies. They had all of the usual flavors like chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, and my favorite chocolate chip mint but the Caramel Caribou caught my eye. It is toffee ice cream with thick caramel weave and mini chocolate covered caramel cups. It was just like eating a candy bar in ice cream form. I ordered my ice cream in a hand dipped chocolate and sprinkle waffle cone. The total for my decadent treat was a very reasonable $6. That's a bargain compared to some of the local places on the east coast. This shop is in a great location in the touristy area of Fort Myers. They can satisfy any sweet tooth. read more

We were walking down the strip and decided some ice cream would be perfect. We walked inside and were greeted by a nice gentleman. The place has a cool vibe with lots of options to choose from. I decided to go with more of a fruity flavor but if you're more into unique mixes they have a plethora of those! While deciding I was having trouble picking between 2 of them, the guy gave me a sample and said I could add both if I wanted! I decided to do that and was so happy with my choice. I really enjoyed my experience here and the quality of the sorbet, I will be back as I have been craving another bite! My friend, who got an actual ice cream flavor, really enjoyed her choice and mentioned coming back! PS: all employees were following mask protocol and had hand sanitizer out. read more

Great ice cream place! They have many flavors to choose from. I ordered a small two scoop cup which I mixed. Caramel caribou and English Toffee were delicious. We also had a Baja chocolate sundae with hot fudge, whipped cream and peanuts. The only thing missing was that they didn't have soft serve which I love. Very good ice cream place located downtown Fort Myers. My favorite flavors were the black cherry, the Salty turtle and the stellar coffee. The ice cream was so good I ended up going there every day during my 4 day trip there. All I can say thank God they don't have one where I live because my waistline wouldn't appreciate that. read more

Came in on a weekday and it was busy but not slammed. There are so many flavor choices (vegan and sugar free too!). I had a hard time choosing but the staff was extremely helpful and let me sample a few different flavors to help me narrow down my pick. I ordered the kids cup which was the perfect amount of ice cream for me. I chose a butter pecan flavor with fudge ripples. So yum and a flavor I haven't seen anywhere else! We've made this a weekly stop on the way home from school. Can typically find parking nearby. So many flavors to choose from & good quality. R favs r the coffee chocolate cup(can't recall proper name), daiquiri ice & lemon sorbet. Love that they have 6+ non-dairy options for allergies or people who prefer fruitier flavors. Wow! Expect long lines at this location. I came on a Friday night with a huge group and it was really full. I wouldn't say the ice cream here is amazing (they use the ice cream club ice cream) but it was good enough for the price point. They have a huge selection of ice cream, well over 30 kinds to choose from. My group of 15 ordered ice cream with cones and it was about $35 not too shabby. Overall nice place with a decent price point. Come in for a nice cool down on a warm night in Fort Myers! read more

Ita fine independent ice creamery in this fine shopping area in a fine location near the water in a fine city of Fort Myers. It's so fine due to the reasonable prices, unique and nostalgic flavors, and colorful interior that makes ice cream parlors/shops inviting and welcoming. Apparently the superman flavor (red, yellow, blue vanilla) was such a popular one back in the day; they carried it here and it was my first time tasting it; also had a scoop of the C for cookie (blue vanilla with chocolate chips and cookie dough). Superman and Cookie Monster would be proud of these! You can get cones (waffle is the best), sundaes, banana splits, or just plain cups. Plus ice cream sodas, malts, shakes, and floats. Anything ice cream related they will prepare for you. The line may start off small but it gradually filled up quick. It may cause the speed of service to slow due items made upon order. Hopefully more help is on the way. Might be likely because it was during the holidays; everyone needs a day off right? This is a must stop when visiting historical downtown Fort Myers. Counter service is very fast and the selection is great. I'm sure it was over 31 flavors. We have past Scoops on First in Downtown Fort Myers many times after lunches and dinners. Tonight, we stop in and we are glad we did. The staff is friendly and have 32 flavors ice cream plus gelato, sorbet and frozen yogurt to temp you. Wait, I noticed there are cookies as well. Scoops occupied the old barber shop next to the First National Bank building in the historic downtown district. The interior is clean and decorated with colorful paintings and pictures of children. A small number of inside tables lining the wall are available as well as outside tables. A perfect place to cool off and chill out. Wife went for Mountain Mocha cup. An excellent choice. She tasted the chocolate and coffee as well the roasted almond. It is flavorful and smooth! As we sat on the outside tables enjoy our ice cream and people watching, I've forgotten to snap my choice of Pistachio mint cone. I assume it is for customers waiting for take-out orders! Is this another Banh Mi shop with Boba drinks? One look at the menu and you can tell it is above the normal Banh Mi or Baguette sandwiches. It listed Vermicelli salad Bowl, Banh Mi Chao, Pateso Cake and crab Rangoon and a Shaking Beef rice plate and other items! I ordered a Banh Mi Chao and a Taro Milk Tea for lunch as my taste test! What is Banh Mi Chao? Banh Mi Chao a rather popular, savory Vietnamese brunch or comfort food dish that tastes like a sizzling, elevated breakfast skillet. It consists of a hot pan filled with combinations of pâté, sunny-side-up eggs, sausages, meat balls, meats (like filet mignon, beef belly, or pork), and combined with tomato or soy-based sauce, served with a crispy baguette for dipping. That is a mouthful! This Banh Mi Chao is rich, creamy, and savory. When I dipped the baguette into that sauce, meat, and egg mixture, and biting into the baguette, I was in heaven! You normally ordered this at specialty Vietnamese cafes and brunch spots, offering a more customizable experience than a pre-made Banh Mi sandwich! The Taro Milk Tea suited me fine.
