Cute local shop serving delicious ice cream flavors. I would go to them over Baskin Robins. The best was mixing the oreo flavor with a marshmallow one with pretzels. Tasted like a golden graham bar. They serve big scoops of ice cream on various cones and have so many flavors. Check then out and bring the whole family. read more

This is my personal preference for ice cream store. I just have so many choices of ice cream & multitudes of toppings. I love those huge waffle cones. I know their ice cream cakes are expensive but they're so beautiful I think they are worth spending the money on for special occasions. Right now they have the cutest little pumpkin cake for $16 I'm in love with it. I think would make a great gift for your grandchildren. The girls are always having a happy attitude in here. It's nice and clean. No can get messy in here of course when they get real busy obviously the kids can make a mess when they are eating their ice cream but they'll get it cleaned up as quickly as they can. To me this is a Trenton gem! My favorite is the amaretto cherry I always get a hot fudge sundae with that. Make sure you support this business. read more

I have been going to this ice cream shop for approximately 30 years, since it was Baskin Robbins. It's now called Trenton ice cream shop. They serve Ashby's ice cream which is made Michigan which is why I like to support this mom and pop store. The girls are always very attentive and friendly. My favorite ice cream treat is the peanut butter brownie hot fudge sundae with Saunders hot fudge. I suggest you give this place a try and don't forget to tip the girls working there. read more

Shop was nostalgic of an old time ice cream place. However all sundaes tasted freezer burnt, and some of the tubs were very close to empty and had ice crystals. They were out of most of the specialty items on the menu as well. I think maybe better management of inventory in slower months might help with ice cream quality, but won't be in a hurry to go back. read more

Horrible ice cream! They were scraping the insides of the tub walls when I walked in. It didn't occur to me it was all old ice cream and ice crystals! I got right in my car after purchase and noticed crunchy pieces of ice, but thought it would only be a few bites. WRONG drove home and called right away. The "manager" seemed to care less. He asked if I wanted a different flavor but I declined since they were scraping every tub when I came in, they were all ruined. He said, "well sorry" and hung up without even a goodbye. Rude and horrible ice cream with ice and freezer burnt flavor. Maybe the Trenton residents already know this as the place was empty on a summer night? Terrible. Ordered hot fudge cream puff and the pastry was so hard and stale could not even eat it. Hot fudge was clumpy.

They used to carry Ashby's ice cream which was fabulous. Now they make the ice cream "in-house" and it's gritty and either over-flavored our under-flavored. After having this same experience three times, we have decided to find another ice cream shop. It's too expensive to get a sub-standard result. read more
