Arnie's not only had availability, but they had manual ATV and atv for kids (both limited). Which is different! Not only were their service fantastic and kind, they were also very friendly and fun people to talk to. They are huge on safety for their riders with training and ensuring you have proper sized helmet and making sure you're comfortable to ride. They wash their helmets and googles which were super reassuring. Their price are affordable too. You have the base price depending on the atv you rent and the first hour and then for the second hour, its additional 40$. And I HIGHLY recommend getting the affordable insurance too. Always glad to support small businesses too. But, you don't have to just take my words for it. You should check them out too.

Arnie's policy is no refunds. I understand a policy, but being a better human also is better customer service. So go to Arnie's for the least bad riding experience. They haven't left us in the dunes on a non-functional quad. Do keep in mind there are no exceptions with their refund policy.

I decided the day before we went to give it a try for the first time with me and my two sons. Rod made me feel like I was his only customer, even though all of his lessons and classes were fully booked. Since he couldn't fit us in officially we just did rentals, and he still found time between lessons to give me and my sons quick free lessons and encouragement, and he got all of us up on a wave for the first time. He even managed to get some pics for us! I had no idea what to expect with a rental, but Rod clearly wants all of his customers to enjoy themselves, and goes out of his way to make it happen. Next time we'll definitely plan ahead and book lessons to raise our chances of catching more waves and more fun. I highly recommend renting from Rod, and trying to book a lesson!

Took my two daughters out on the Oceano dunes and it was pure, unrushed, roll-around-and-laugh joy. Nobody rushed us, nobody upsold us, nobody made us feel like a number. Just a family-run crew that clearly loves what they do and wants you to have the time of your life out there. And Marlene -- the beautiful dancing queen -- made the whole thing. Warm, funny, full of life, the kind of person who turns a good outing into a memory the girls are still talking about. She's the heart of the place. We came for a dune ride and left with one of the best afternoons of the whole trip. We're already planning the next one. If you're bringing your family to Pismo, this is the one. We were just thinking what to do, when a family on a surrey passed us up and the boy said, "I want to do that!" And away we went. Lady working the front (owner?) couldn't have been more friendly and the price was really reasonably ($20-30/hr depending on the bike). After signing away my first born and shelling out $20 we were on our way. The two-seater was a bit snug but the three of us--despite my prodigious girth--managed to fit on it. We made it to Morro Rock and turned around and were back in a little under 45min. Trust me that's more than enough time when you're doing most of the pedaling because the boy thinks he's named after Lance Armstrong. Return was quick and easy, and we were on our way to a well-deserved lunch. Highly recommended. Would def do this again.

When I told the staff about the hole on the wetsuit, he said that's ok as long as there's not a lot of water coming into it. I don't know how they managed to surf without having water coming in. The equipment was not useable and the owner not only refused to refund, but also shown aggressive and unfriendly attitude. Oh and by the way, it's really pricey to rent from here. Overall really poor experience. Do not recommend. There are many other better rental shops out there in pismo.

Trainer Aleta Camacho has been an amazing coach for my daughter and me, and our lessons have quickly become the highlight of our week. With decades of experience in both Western and English disciplines, we have learned so much from Aleta and truly enjoyed each and every lesson. As a parent, I appreciate her patience and expertise, always putting safety first and encouraging young riders to consistently improve and be good partners for the horses.
