My partner and I ordered take out from Scopa this evening. We split the Zucchini and Arrabbiatta pizzas, and I thoroughly enjoyed the garlic cream on the Zucchini pizza and the spicy sauce on the Arrabbiatta. They're personal sized pizzas, so order one per person. If you order online for pick up, they include a free hot chocolate with your order. They're famous for their hot chocolate and I can understand why. If you wait until you finish your pizzas to drink it, it's basically pudding! I'd recommend ordering it for takeaway because the restaurant itself is quite cramped.

Very decent personal pizzas with a wide variety of toppings and styles for everyone. Setting is pretty cozy and intimate even on bustling Cuba Street. When I originally saw my pizza I thought what you probably were thinking: boring. The pizza tastes a lot better than the presentation suggests. Crust is thin and crunchy, cheese is flavorful, and the sauce was immaculate, definitely the best part about this pie!

This used to be my go-to spot for amazing pizza. The best Italian pizza spot in the capital. Thin, full of flavor and the coffee isn't bad either. Visited this place today after a few years and it was still good. The pizzas were amazing, service was great however took longer than usual.

First time I have ever been here. First of all, New Zealand is one of the best countries I have been to. My cousin brought me to this little restaurant for lunch. This is such a quaint place. I loved the atmosphere and everything about it. The waiter was very friendly. I arrived with a party of FIVE. We were seated right away. Not knowing what to order, just Macchiato. So first they brought out my Macchiato and me as a non coffee drinker, I was expecting it to be something sweet but it far from sweet. Of course I had to try it anyway. Let's just say, it wasn't my favorite. Next they brought out my lunch. The presentation was on point. First bite, it was so yummy. I had never had anything like it. Very tasty as well. Not to cheesy. All the ingredients was complementing each other. I would definitely recommend this place for brunch/lunch. I left with wanting to try more things off their menu. Will definitely be back the next time I am visiting Wellington, New Zealand.

Olives and spritzer. Olives are to die for.

Good spot if you're looking for Italian. My friend and I split the olives and 2 pizzas and couldn't finish everything. The olives are some of the best I've ever had..AMAZING. I'm not used to having served warm, and they were on point. We got the margherita pizza which was my least favorite and not what I'm used to (no dollops of cheese, just basil and sea salt :( ). The gorgonzola funghi was yummy and different. We also got the spritzers, which were good but not much alcohol for being so expensive. Overall the atmosphere is great and the servers were super friendly and chatty..I'd come back:)

Went there for lunch on a Saturday ordered the special pizza which had pulled pork, (something similar to) kale, and olives. The pizza base was excellent, thin, light, and crisp but there could have been a little more flavor. I also ordered the bailey's hot chocolate. It was delicious but difficult to drink as it was rather thick. I ended up eating it like chocolate sauce with a spoon. I also tried the hotcakes which were to die for and a ragu pasta dish which I can't recall the name of which was also rather tasty. Comfortable dining area and friendly service would definitely come again but would probably stay away from the specials next time as the items on their menu were significantly better.

Had the Scopa,Fried Chicken. It was good, but kind of a small portion, so a bit overpriced.

Probably the best real italian pizza in Wellington. Oven-fired, thin crust, charred bits of crust and tasty toppings.

Every single bite is crispy. Seriously. Every single bite. When you get to the crust, it's chewy and doughy and perfect. Toppings are too good. The pepperoni is evenly distributed and tasty. The mushroom is a veggie dream with savory mushrooms and spinach, you can't feel guilty with these two healthy options. I gotta mention the four cheese. Wow. It was salty and cheesy and with the thin crust, there's no stringy cheese dangling from your bites. Each bite was filled with flavor and there are sesame seeds by the crust, which was so different to see. The pizza is nice, thin and crispy. Surprising to come from a small stand in Courtney Place they are open late (11pm) to fill that pizza need every one has in there life. The menu was limited and their slices both jumbo sized and very expensive, but they looked appealing so I splurged on one. I must say it is the most American pizza I've tasted on this side of the world; the fluffiness of the crust was proper. The four cheese I got also had some tasty sesame seeds. They offer a slice card for repeat customers, which if I were there I might get.

We were so happy with our choice. The pizzas are fairly priced for as big as the small pizza is (we crushed our own personal small pizza each!). The unique and plentiful ingredients made this a wonderful treat. I am going to try to find a place at home with this combo or make it myself, I loved this pizza. The atmosphere shows you just how hipster Wellington is. With the large artistic oven sculpture, creative wooden decor, and 'hip' tins holding your napkins and silverware you get a true Wellington experience. I even dare to say, the beer here is better than Aus. Maybe that's too bold a statement, but I'm standing by it. Malthouse is the craft beer haven epicenter of Wellington. With over 150 national and international beers, this beer bar hosts the largest range of beer in NZ. A full tap range, staple beers and rotating ones all keep this beer bar "in the know" with its ever changing selection. Behind the row of taps, is "Malty's Wall" with fridges keeping beers cooled at the right temp, ready for tasting and consuming. Many of NZ beers come from small boutique breweries, which make them harder to find outside of NZ, but Malthouse hosts a great focus on local breweries. The menu is a beer bible. I've never seen one like it. It's leather bound and very extensive, filled with beer choices and all the information to accompany such a vast beer bar. Seating is cozy with both indoor and outdoor options. High tables, bar seats, lounge tables as well. With food options, they've got the perfect munchies which compliment beer. Try their famous Ugly Bread. Or the pizza. I'm a strong believer of great beer bars having pizza. It's something about cheesy tomato bread that goes so well with beer. All in all, this place is hands down, great.
