I saw plenty of guys who had no business playing travel baseball welcomed in, because their money was as green as ours. It drags down the entire experience for those of us with ambitions of something more. We'd show up for practices or games, and half the time nobody would even know if we had the field. It's embarrassing having to scramble at the last minute every other week. Nothing is consistent. Every coach does whatever they want, so you never really know what to expect from practice to practice or team to team. There's no system, no structure, and no accountability, which makes actual player development nearly impossible. The latest "ITZ REACH" hype is just a cover for their lack of real growth, they lost their original facility because numbers are dropping fast. Now coaches are stretched thin, spread across multiple locations with no clear plan. Their social media has also taken the backseat recently. No real highlights or recognition. Just AI generated slop and a "Tip of the day". The last post that featured a player didn't even mention the kids name! Need more proof? Take a look at their most recent Google reviews, most of them are paid or fake. The accounts leaving 5 star glowing reviews are brand new with no profile pictures or review history. It's clearly damage control to hide real complaints. Players deserve better, families deserve honesty, and coaches deserve leadership. Until that changes, this place will continue to fail the kids who trusted it.

I was really nervous about letting him go away with the team because he's tiny, he had never played football before, and I wasn't sure how he would fit in with a team full of kids who had been playing together for 3-4 years. My fears were immediately quelled when we picked him up from the bus after camp had ended. Coach Moore is fantastic! He challenges and encourages the players to strive to be their best. He gives them feedback on ways to improve and he really breaks things down so they can understand. A true teacher! I was especially impressed when I learned the organization provides a bus to take players/families to/from games. This would certainly have been a FIVE star review if the certification process wasn't soooo long. (which may or may not be a reflection on the program) OVERALL: A wonderful local program with great coaches, mentors, and fantastic players/families. Highly recommend!

A female friend of mine that played for the NJ League was violently assaulted by a male player…read moremid-game, resulting in hospitalization and severe injuries. The Footy referee was more focused on reprimanding her for expressing her vocal outrage that a foul wasn't called. Mind you, she had a fractured cheek bone, bruised ribs, and a concussion. The referee laughed in her face. The other team faced no accountability. The result - she was suspended. Not like she can play any time soon due to her injuries, which may require surgery. Like other reviewers have noted, the refs can be biased, and that bias DOES result in injury. Don't join this league if you value safety.

I've played in these leagues for over a year now, so it kind of hurts to leave a bad review since…read moremy time hasn't been completely awful. However, as some reviews have pointed out, the refs can be very bad and make very biased calls. I've been ran into full speed in the back on breakaways, challenges that could've seriously injured me, only for the ref to call it a fair challenge. Meanwhile, if I challenge someone shoulder to shoulder in a fair play, it's called a foul if my opponent flails enough and looks at the ref. If I were you, I'd avoid Bedford Armory and Lower East Side, where I had experiences with those bad refs. The Brooklyn Bridge one was ok maybe 30% of the time (literally gave me a yellow card for defending his call while ignoring the entire opposing team hollering at him for it). The officials tend to ref the same fields every week. You risk getting injured due to the random nature of their officiating and inability to control games. I'm not sure if it's due to improper training or bias towards certain groups of players and favor towards others as some have pointed out. Whatever it is, it is completely unacceptable for me personally. My dad tore his ACL playing in his adulthood -- I don't want that to happen to me. I may try one more season if a good discount ever rolls around again, but I think I'll see how the refs and players are like around the other NYC leagues afterwards before deciding to come back ever again. It is what it is. I don't expect this review will be received by ownership well, but idrc at this point. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. They say its a non profit over and over but this place has gotten more and more expensive. Both of my kids have loved it however it's too expensive and very disorganized and to me is not worth it. They cannot keep teachers from what rumors have said is due to money but aside from rent costs I can't see where all the money is going because from what i see we as parents foot the bill for everything such as travel, etc. I don't suggest enrolling your kids unless you are independently wealthy and like to donate a lot of money to a "non profit".
