It is a dream if you're an avid tennis player. They offer various different tennis clinics for both adults & children from May thru October. Claudio Urra, the head pro is a great instructor and really keeps you movin' (and groovin') during the clinics. They are both fun and challenging! The atmosphere here is very laid back and intimate where it seems like they are all an extension of a big family. Members vary in all ages (Oldest member is 90 y.o and he is quite dashing and will probably beat you on the courts!) Added bonus: Traditional "Tennis Whites" are NOT required! In June, they will host NJ State Div 1 Championships which should be a lot of fun. I plan to go watch some great tennis as much as possible.

There have been many changes in ownership and leadership in that time period. The facility closed down several times even before Covid hit. I was always so grateful when they opened back up because the pool is very nice, even if the water was 68, I and a few other diehards always swam. The new leaders of the organization have been step by step making repairs ie. a new entrance door, repaired the hot air blower, and fixed the water temperature thermostat, (the pool temperature is always comfortable now. They still need to clean up their locker, shower and sauna rooms. I'm sure it is in their plan. But 3 days ago those guys sent me a notice that I was no longer welcome to swim there; they would no longer have a membership plan. Their business plans only include businesses to rent lanes, Jimmy's Swim Clinic and British Swim School to name a few. I'm quite sad, the owners said thanks for all your support over the years ( but you are bothering our bottom line)

The cycling room is big and I liked the fact that that each row of bikes is in a different level (similar to a theater) which allows whoever is sitting towards the back to have a better view of the instructor. My complaint is that the cycling instructor wasn't very good with 0 enthusiasm. There were no hills, sprints and other standard spinning activities. All the instructor kept a saying was "add 2 gears, remove 2 gears, stand up, sit down". Just multiply this by 20 and that was basically the whole class. My membership allows me to access all LA Fitness locations in NJ and I've been to at least 5 of them to take spinning classes and this was definitely the worst class.
