Mostly young. A lot of bruhs, jocks, and students but a lot of children too. Be advised during peak hours, if you don't have an appointment there can be a long wait for walk-ins. I mean like a 45 minute wait. We don't mind because it's my son's favorite place and he gets a bad-ass cut every time. [I also go next door to Coffee Vanilla and grab a latte, there's also a Starbucks in the Safeway across the street.] Hint: Make appointments for days before long week-ends, holidays, Valentines..you get the drill. Also, I have found you can usually walk right in early mornings mid-week. For the longest time they only took cash. They now can take debit and e-transfer (I think). I've also seen a couple of women getting Fades done, impressive. As for who's the best barber-they're all very good. The last time I took my son one of the "lady barbers" did his fade and she was AMAZING.

I always come before my appointment and left 10 - 20 minutes after my haircut done. I enjoy talking to Max (the owner) while I'm drinking my tea or coffee. I've had cuts from all of the main staff, Linda, Stephanie, and Max and have never been disappointed. Service here is excellent and everyone is extremely friendly. They always go the extra mile to make sure that customers are happy, from offering a drink when you come in, to the hot towel after your cut. I usually go for a standard mens cut and a beard trim, but Max is also great with the straightrazor. 100% worth the short walk from downtown, not to mention that Coal Harbor is beautiful is anyways.

He spent less than 15 minutes completing the haircut and he checked his phone at least 4 times in between and replied to texts as well. This guy doesn't even know how to run scissors - it was hurting and was visible but he did not think of spraying water so he could cut without causing any pain. While shampooing, he ran water all over my face and didn't even bother to apologize as if he did it intentionally. Anyone who is going to try this for the first time, DO NOT CHOOSE "ALI" as your hairdresser - he just doesn't know anything. I hope the management should consider having a chat with this guy. P.S.
