I dropped by CIBC today to get help from a teller. There was a person in front of me in line so I…read moreassumed the wait wont be long. There were 5 tellers behind each counter but only 2 were actually servicing customers. As I became the next customer to be served, the lady who was lining behind me skipped me and approached the non servicing teller in front of me, whispered a few words and went back in line. The teller (Louis) then removed his sign and gestured this lady to go to his counter where he helped her with her banking needs. He put his unavailable sign back up after he's done as I continued to wait. While I was waiting I also saw another teller with the unavailable sign on her counter but she was just munching on some popcorns. To be honest cibc is not my main bank and I seldom use their teller service but I really can't believe how unprofessional the two tellers were. First one played favoritism and second just eating popcorns behind the counter. They obviously don't put customers first since there were so many tellers but only 2 were actually servicing customers. I'm very disappointed with the level of service. The only good thing was the teller who helped me was efficient and friendly.

This particular branch is open a bit later than most other branches in Richmond, which is a bonus for me. The parking lot tends to get busy around meal times, so some may have difficulty finding a spot directly right outside the branch, but there's a parking garage that's a 2 minute walk away. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this RBC branch to anyone!

This bank is super confusing. They have a line outside and also they have a check-in system. Why do…read morepeople have to line up and use the check-in system at the same time. Why not just use one. Anyways, this branch is super disorganized. They want to make themselves organized but by creating an unnecessary job for a lady in front to ask everyone who comes through the door, if they have registered or not makes it even more confusing. I have noticed 99% of the people banking here were just as confused as I am. I think it is better to ask the lady at the front to do something much more productive like work as a teller or assist ATM machines or etc. Also the tellers/service here is somewhat slow. There were 4 tellers working the night I went and I was 3rd in line, the line still took 15 mins. I realized the reason was due to teller going back and forth with the customer. We came here to pick up our credit card and just that transaction from when we were being served to finish was 10 mins. If you factor the wait that is 25mins gone. Kind of slow.
