The counter service people were excellent, quick, and knew their stuff. They immediately explained all of the products they offer and booked a meeting with the account manager in a half hour's time. I went for a stroll around the block and when I came back the manager was very courteous and processed my application online while he was entering my information, handed me the account package and encouraged me to contact him if I had any questions. The next week my bank card came and although I'm not doing any transactions here yet, the statements have been arriving promptly, everything seems very well thought out and easy to understand and efficiently executed. The service charges are the lowest I've encountered. Very happy customer.

The online/mobile services are great, and the bank even waives the fees levied when we have to use the only remaining (nonBanner) bank ATM in our community. While we have experienced friction with managers at other branches, we have always found both office and desk staff at this branch to be extremely efficient, friendly and helpful.

But after a few months of banking here, we've been pleasantly surprised by how much they actually offer. We've been able to walk in and get Canadian currency, have documents notarized (no appointment needed!), and the biggest shock of all: they actually have someone who can do a Medallion Signature Guarantee. I went in to convert my RRSPs into a RIF because I turned 71. After two appointments I still had…read moreno paperwork from them. This has been my beef with them for a number of years. I have a number of RRSPs with them and have asked them for the last three years for written statement of all my accounts at least once a year which they have never provided. Yes I have online banking but one statement a year for all investments did not seem unreasonable. I did however receive a monthly statement for one account for ONE cent which I asked them to discontinue but they never did. When I went to the BMO this January to transfer everything to them , I had to go back to Vancity to get the paperwork I was trying to get in the fall. Most frustrating bank I have ever dealt with. That day there was one teller, people sitting at desks all around,and a lineup to the door. Extremely poor service and unhelpful staff. Over the years I felt like Vancity made things very unclear and confusing. My husband had a 10000 dollar RRSP there which he never received any statements for . He does not do online banking so again we had to ask for a statement for that. Can hardly wait to close up everything there!! On the other hand I had an RRSP at Coast Capital nearby where I went in November. It took about ten minutes and I came out of there with the paperwork I needed to make the transfer. They were great !

The customer service is ridiculous,unfortunately I had no choice but to use this branch to finish paper work on a mortgage that stared in the beginning of Dec and didn't close until April, when it did close none of the payments came out of the right account or on the proper dates. No one would take responsibility for the mistakes and eventually had to go to the credit branch of RBC to get a everything back to the original payments.
