As a first-time home buyer, I was very excited to get our first home to raise our little ones in. I was recommended to have my home inspection completed by Purdy Home Inspections. I made a HUGE mistake, I paid Mr. Purdy in the amount of $385.00 to tell me everything that could be wrong with my potential new home. Upon moving in he missed important aspects of an inspection. When I moved in every sink in this home was leaking. I made a complaint and he sent a Plummer over to fix it. Although this was a temporary fix it did not fix the long-term issue. The Plummer advised me every sink in my home was done incorrectly and that it all needed to be replaced and redone. In the end, I spent over $600.00 to fix the now moldy vanity one month into moving in. Upon moving into my home every outlet needed to be redone due to electrical issues, a pipe was not even connected under the crawl space, and every time I ran my dishwasher it was flooded under my new home, three months into living in my home my roof started leaking to the point water was running down my walls. Mind you this was supposed to be a new roof when I moved in. On his inspection report, he states "Wetness hides flaws", I had my insurance company take a look at the roof they told me my roof was not installed correctly so they would not assist in replacing the roof or helping with the water damage. I had two roofers come over and advised me they did not understand how the inspector missed that my roof was installed so poorly. Due to how poorly my roof was done I was quoted $18,000 to replace my NEW roof in addition to that I began to have foundation issues with my home and constant flooding under the home. In his inspection report, there was no documentation to even show the humidity levels under the house so my pillar on the left side started sinking due to the water under the house. I called a foundation company who then came over and advised me over $26,000 in full capitalization of the crawl space under my home with a dehumidifier and a pump to keep water out from underneath the home. This has cost me so much money to the point I am struggling to even make my mortgage payment! I reached out to him multiple times to help and he ignored me. DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN TO DO ANYTHING RELATED TO YOUR HOME!!!! WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!! Guess who is stuck with the debt and the problems.... ME AND MY FAMILY!! I have hired a different inspector to take a look to show him the things that were missed that did not matter either.

He did not Upon arrival at home: dishwasher not connected, plumbing under sink not connected, dryer vent missing, yet signed report says he had done inspection and found everything in tip top shape. He lied. He stated that he INSPECTED HOME, but he merely said what was present, not what was functional. That's the whole point of home inspectors.
