Let's face it... talking about insurance just isn't that exciting. It's one of those things you…read moredon't really think about until you need it. But when that day comes when you wake up to find water pouring in your kitchen ceiling and ruining your brand new hardwood floors, or that morning arrives when you're a little bit distracted and accidentally bump into your neighbor's prized Tesla (that he oddly refers to as "Tina") while you're backing out of your driveway (and trust me, it will happen), that is not the time that you want to find out that your insurance agent has a voicemail box that is always full, and a perpetual "out of office reply" on their email telling you to call their assistant if you need any, well, assistance. No, this is the time when you need help, and fast. Enter Tracy Stowell and Rob Barbine from the Rhoads Group, a dynamic duo affectionately known as "Team Trabert". Collectively they have over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, and boy does it show! But the most impressive thing about them is not just their shared head knowledge. There are plenty of intelligent agents out there. It's that they genuinely care about their clients. And while a lot of people say that, Tracy and Rob actually live it. And I can speak from a very unique perspective... You see, I'm not one of their clients. I'm Tracy's older sister. Now before you go discounting this entire review on that basis alone, hear me out. By being the big sister, I'm probably harder on her than I would be on anyone else because I expect more from her than I do the average person. However I can honestly say that when it comes to her role as an agent, I literally could not be more proud. She is the epitome of who you want on the other end of the phone when you are in a crisis. Recently I was visiting her from my home in Portland, OR, and she received a phone call from a client on a Sunday. This is technically her day off, but she took the call anyways because she knew the client had an open claim for water damage in her home, and she wanted to make sure she was okay. The client was extremely upset about a particular situation, yet Tracy remained calm and helped to talk her through it and come up with possible solutions to remedy the issue. Why? Because she cares. Now this was not an unusual event for Tracy. No, I've seen her do it a million times. She regularly takes client calls on evenings, weekends, holidays, you name it. Bottom line is, when you need her, she is reachable. And because of her many years of experience, it's likely that she'll know the answer to your question on the first call. But even if she doesn't, she will not rest until she finds an answer, and then she will always follow back up with you. And what I mentioned before about insurance being boring? No, not with Tracy and Rob. They are both outgoing, engaging and fun to talk to on the phone, and even if the subject matter isn't always extremely captivating by itself, you'll still hang up feeling like you just had a great conversation with a good friend. So I guess my main point is, if you are looking for an insurance agent who's, knowledgeable, experienced, genuinely cares, and most of all, will always be there when you need them the most, give Tracy Stowell and Rob Barbine a call today. I promise, it will be one of the best moves you've ever made. And hey, while you're at it, tell her that her big sister says, "Hi!"

I'll try to make this short. I was rear ended in morning traffic on an exit ramp. There were no injuries and minor damage to my vehicle. We did not call police, exchanged information and went on our way. When I contacted the other driver and his insurance company he denied that it happened despite the obvious damage to the front of his vehicle and the rear of mine (with pictures). I contacted my agents office who was Mark Gupton at the time and was given information that I now know not to be true. I was told that I could file under my policy and since someone else was at fault it would not effect my rating. With that information I paid my $500 deductible and had my vehicle repaired. The claim was paid timely by State Farm however the subrogation lasted for a little over a year. During this time I would check the status of the claim from time to time on my pocket app and after 10 months or so I reached out to my agent to ask for assistance in getting this settled. I was told that I would have to speak directly to the claims adjuster and there was nothing they could do to help. At that moment I knew it was time to shop for another agent. I was a client for 19 years. Filed two claims totaling around a $5,000 payout, paid my premiums on time, never called to contest an increase, pretty no nonsense kind of client and after my claim experience I shouldn't have been surprised when I called yesterday to ask what I needed to do to cancel my auto policies. Joy informed me I needed to sign cancellation forms, verified my email address, and promptly sent an email with the cancellation forms attached. No inquiry on why I wanted to cancel, was not asked if there was anything they could check on to try and keep me as a client, or even an "I'm sorry you will be leaving us after all this time.". I'm not so naive to think that I produced a huge amount of revenue for the agent but I was a consistent client who didn't file excessive claims, and I paid my premiums on time. Showing a tiny little bit of interest in keeping me as a client could have gone a long way. No matter how small or large, customer issues should be important. Until something happens, you sometimes have no idea how important a good relationship between you and your broker can be. Choose wisely and choose a broker who you feel will have your back if a situation arises. I'm thankful my issue was nothing more than a minor damage claim but it makes me wonder what could've happened if it were something much more serious.
