They did an excellent job on cleaning and more importantly, they identified and fixed a vertical valve alignment issue which was causing the low register issue. The horn now plays amazingly well. The sound that the violin produces is much improved! You don't just allow anyone to open up a violin. I had Mr. Sheibley skillfully install his specially treated bass bar and while he had access to the interior of the violin, he reinforced the cleats. Old instruments need TLC and I completely trust Michael with his work. I wish his shop was a little closer, but I would certainly go out of my way to send my instruments to PA again.
