The owner John complained a lot, after most of truck packed made drama then his wife/biz partner took me into the house crying. She said to give them $2000 more than the $5700 already paying for moving 1800 square feet 5 hours and 15 min. away or they would unpack the truck and leave. Unethical people I say. Their workers said upon delivery the medium moving truck was only 2/3 full and should not have cost so much. Now in getting settled I find they didn't pack well at all. For example glasses, lamps were broken, my corner Cabinet chipped because it wasn't protected or wrapped on top. Also the tv remotes, ports were not put in the big box w the TV and most boxes not marked well. I had great pre-printed packing stickers, but they weren't used. I cleared out and packed my basement storage areas, called a junk remover (they were supposed to do that as part of contract). So I would NOT RECOMMEND this company to move anything. You will likely get your price changed and ripped off. Not to mention your possessions not packed carefully or boxes marked accurately.

Then when I called them out on it and canceled my request, they were absolutely fine with losing my business. Then claimed they suddenly were too busy to confirm my request/business. However, all they needed to do was tell me that, instead of dropping me when I was organizing my move. I'm sure they are great IF you can get them scheduled, but my trust in their ability to communicate is gone so am looking elsewhere. I moved from Philadelphia to Red Lion, which is a 2 hour drive (without traffic, which never happens). Tony contacted me immediately when I originally sent a yelp message, he stuck to his quoted price, there were no surprise fees. Tony and I scheduled the move a week in advance and he kept me up to date when he and Vince were driving to Philadelphia and they arrived on time. Within 1 hour they loaded the truck with all my furniture (sectional couch, mattress, bed frame, dresser, 2 things like dressers, ottoman, and a desk). I went ahead of them to Red Lion and when they arrived they unloaded the truck and put the furniture in the rooms I needed, and it was all done fast! I highly HIGHLY recommend them! I could not imagine moving without these guys, plus they do long distance moving (more than my move). I'd definitely hire them again when I move again.

Some of the other moving companies I contacted never returned my voicemail. We got my move scheduled a few weeks before it was to happen. This was very easy with me discussing the details with Pam as well as texting her photos of the rooms and larger items. There were some blips in the delivery of the Pod and I am so grateful that Pam was able to reschedule with such short notice. Our move was a bit more complex. Double D's had to meet us at a location in Camp Hill to pick up a truck full of furniture. This was brought to our Harrisburg home. And then this as well as everything in our house was loaded into a 16 foot pod. Part of the reason I picked double D's was because of their glowing reviews and their ability to load a POD very tight. They exceeded expectations and used every bit of the pod from floor to ceiling. (A 16 foot POD is for a house up to 1400 ft.². This of course doesn't include your basement, attic, and garage.) They did an amazing job! We had a few items that did not fit and we expected this because a 16" pod is not as big as you expect it to be. (No big deal because we will drive them at another date to our new location.) They then drove these items back to the Camp Hill address where we could store them. The price was very fair.
