I had a terribly painful root canal back many years ago when I was in the army. Dr. Ruder did two root canals me that was completely and totally 100% painless. I had to have a RC last year from an assigned endodontist in Destin. That was absolute the most horrendous, torturous procedure I've ever had in my life. Everything from the doctor's bedside manner, the extremely painful injection and worst of all the procedure itself. It just plain damned inhumane. I called the VA and told them of my experience and that before I go back to this dentist I will go to Dr. Ruder and pay for it myself. I can see why his parking lot and waiting room are always empty. To top it off, a year later, I had to have the tooth pulled. The dentist said the tooth was dead. I miss Dr. Ruder, and I know he misses my silly little pranks, jokes and bitching about how much he charges (which is reasonable. I just have to have something smart to say).

The doctor and techs are great, super friendly and kind. The price is competitive. With several orthodontist in town, I'm glad we chose this one! Dr. Grace Nochez, is a genuine professional and anal retentive (great thing in my book) when it comes to her work. She completed three crowns for me and the work involved was overwhelming. I had the last appointment this morning and am 110% satisfied with her work. Shannon assisted her and she is like minded in her attention to detail, in addition to being a very pleasant lady. Wife's dentures broke in half, called to discuss and set up the best time to come in. Three calls, each one takes you through a menu that ultimately asks you to wait on the line. About 5 minutes on hold each time listening to the same propaganda about how much they care. Finally clicks to a message stating they "cannot answer your call". Says you may leave a message and they will respond within 1 to 2 business days. 4th call was answered and immediately put on hold and put back into the same message loop with the same result. Extremely frustrating! In my opinion, this is a very poor way to operate a business of this type. If you don't want to talk to people on the phone, just state that you take walk-ins only. Otherwise, add staff or an additional link to someone who can take a phone call.

I trusted Dr. Collias with my dental care, and between he & his receptionist/biller, I was taken advantage of. I was told my insurance didn't cover certain things (much like other commenters), and I was forced to pay out of pocket for things my insurance would've paid for! But... why would they bill insurance when the insurance rate is less money than they scammed out of me? Right. I had to have a peer review of my dental work from Dr. Collias, proving that it was not right, in order for my insurance to pay for my teeth to be FIXED due to his botched work. Thank the lord they found negligence in his dental work or I would've been out more money. The dental work I received has left me with LIFE LONG issues. I have had to see 3 different specialists to fix his work. I will never return or recommend anyone to this office. His receptionist is rude & unprofessional, and the dentist himself is not as skilled as he says he is. Seriously. Take it from me. Do not ever trust this office with your dental care if you value your teeth.
