Dental staff is great and the care my wife received was wonderful as well. However, this office is obviously overwhelmed with phone calls. Wife's dentures broke in half, called to discuss and set up the best time to come in. Three calls, each one takes you through a menu that ultimately asks you to wait on the line. About 5 minutes on hold each time listening to the same propaganda about how much they care. Finally clicks to a message stating they "cannot answer your call". Says you may leave a message and they will respond within 1 to 2 business days. 4th call was answered and immediately put on hold and put back into the same message loop with the same result. Extremely frustrating! In my opinion, this is a very poor way to operate a business of this type. If you don't want to talk to people on the phone, just state that you take walk-ins only. Otherwise, add staff or an additional link to someone who can take a phone call. read more

Aspen dental does dental work, but as far as I can tell from my personal experience, they are con artists who take advantage of their consumers and run a company that runs ruff shod over the people who come to them for dental repairs. They lied to me. They did more dental work than was required and then said I owed them money for the extra work because my insurance company said it was unnecessary. It was unnecessary. read more

This morning I went by Aspen Dental to have my dentures adjusted. This place is awesome. Office is full of very nice and caring people. Ms. Caitlin called me back and once again she did an awesome job and the dentures were more comfortable. Stay clear of this palce. Went as a new patient looking for a new dentist. Aspen did imaging and tests completely not covered by insurance and then claimed I should know how often the images are covered. So as a new patient, Aspen will do unnecessary tests and images, leaving you on the hook for all costs, instead of checking your coverage before doing work. When I called to talk about the unnecessary tests and why they did things not covered, the man I spoke to said it's my problem to know how often things are covered, Aspen literally told me "It's a free county you can post on social media if you don't like it." They LITERALLY don't care about their patients or about being a decent company. So my advice is to stay clear of this place. They don't check on your coverage and don't care if you complain. It's a scam company basically running the maximum number of tests they caare without caring about their patients. When a company tells you to post negatove comments on social media, you know they dont care about the patient. read more

Actually they're business is the worst run business in this whole town of panama city. You cannot get a hold of that direct office without going through some answering service. When I went for my dentist appointment they didn't tell me it was gonna be extra money prior to me showing up so they expected me to pay extra money which I was unaware of before I was seen for the second time. I definitely wouldn't recommend this place just because of their business practices.I'm not saying that the dentist isn't good.I'm telling you that their business practices suck. read more

They are simply rude. Me and my partner went here one time a year ago, they gave me hell for my insurance wouldn't work with me on it not for lack of me trying and calling multiple times trying to figure it out for them, the girl at the front desk was so rude in the office. I did not want to go back and me and my partner hadn't! The only reason I called now was because my partner needed to be seen, and I figured they probably had fired her by now. On the phone today she was still rude as hell, They were able to schedule my partner for two weeks and me in October.... called another dentist and just got us both scheduled to be seen in a month there instead. Called to cancel here where she was still on the phone and promptly hung up after I said, I wanted to cancel my appointment. I wish I got her name but she doesn't answer the phone with it --maybe this is how all their staff are trained-- All this to say if you can put up with the rude fucking receptionist, the dentist is fine. After talking with Panama City smiles on the phone where they were so kind and helpful. I would just recommend going there instead. Seriously, just for fun, call Aspen dental, and then call Panama City smiles and see which dentist you'd prefer to go to! I'm pretty sure you'll make the same choice as me :) read more

I've tried calling 5 times over the last week and leaving multiple vm msgs to schedule an appointment and haven't been able to get in touch with anyone. I need adjustments to my dental crowns placed only last month and a cleaning but now I can't get any help. This is horrible customer service. I've overlooked other instances where my appointment was cancelled and I wasnt notified until I arrived at the office and overlooked other small quality issues but this is too much. Will look to move onto another provider. read more

I had multiple issues with this office. I'm sure over half of the five stars on google reviews are fake as they can't even do X-rays correctly. 1) The office staff only answers about half of the time you try to call them. They are good about squeezing people into the schedule as soon as possible though. 2) I was told there would be a fee if I do not cancel at least 24 hours before the appointment or if I no show. Aspen Corporate says there are no cancellation fees or no show fees at any aspen dental office. This dental office even tried to get me to sign a document stating I would pay a fee if I missed an appointment. 3) I was charged $135 for an electric toothbrush after being told the charges I had paid were the total price of the treatment and the toothbrush was just included. I was given a refund for said toothbrush after noticing it on the receipt and complaining about it. 4) The office never gave me any written after care instructions for my periodontal treatment, despite giving me Arestin treatment and a Chlorhexidine prescription oral rinse. The instructions I was given verbally did not match the instructions on other dentistry sites. According to the Arestin website, you cannot brush your teeth for at least 12 hours after Arestin application, as this can remove the medicine from your gums. I'm glad I saw that before brushing my teeth that night, as the dental hygienist, Melissa, who had given me the treatment, never mentioned this. If I had brushed my teeth within the 12 hours, I could have risked needing to pay another $1,800 for a second periodontitis treatment. Note: the periodontal treatment was done well, despite the lack of after care instructions. Melissa removed the plaque from my gums, and I did not feel too much discomfort. 5) The dentist, Dr. Gruskin, who did my cavities, held a conversation with the assistant the entire time she was supposed to be filling my cavities. She talked about social media accounts and other topics unrelated to my exam. This conversation would have been fine if she had also been looking into my mouth as she drilled and worked on my cavities. It was very unprofessional and made me very uncomfortable, but tools are in my numbed mouth, and I couldn't say a word. 6) I was originally concerned the dentist messed up my teeth, as she would be scraping on them while looking away and talking with her assistant. Once, she began scraping one tooth and the assistant said "Wait, it's this one." The dentist stopped scraping on that tooth and switched to another tooth saying "I don't know what I would do without you." This was the only time during the entire procedure that the dentist and the assistant talked about my teeth or even acted like they noticed I was there at all. I got a second opinion from a different dental office in regards to her work, and, luckily, Dr. Gruskin did end up getting all the decay out of my cavities and fill them. Unfortunately, I had to have my cavity fillings repolished, as she didn't make them smooth. 7) When I called to have my second appointment with Dr. Gruskin cancelled, I asked who I could complain to about the dentist. The office staff told me "I can write it down for you." They did not give me a corporate number. I had to call the Panama City Beach office for corporate's phone number to file an appropriate complaint. 8) The moment the dentist was done with the cavities, she said "O.K. We are done," and she left before I could say anything to her at all. She never once asked if I was doing O.K. or how the fillings felt. 9) When I went to get a second opinion, I was told the X-rays this dental office had taken of me were too blurry to use. They had to get new X-rays of my teeth. Avoid this dental office and go somewhere, anywhere else. I filed a complaint with Aspen corporate, and would have filed a complaint to the Florida Board of Dentistry (850-414-1976) if I had found out Dr. Gruskin messed up any of my teeth while she was talking about who blocked who and who was friends with who on instagram. I had to sit there for my cavity filling appointment listening to what seemed like a middle school gossip. read more

Went to the Panama City location for a cleaning, fillings, and one crown. The staff seemed very knowledgeable and was very sweet throughout the three visits that I've had so far. My only minor complaints are that no one went over pricing packages with me regarding Motto aligners prior to ordering them. The website states that you're supposed to receive "tray one on day one" and my treatment plan said that as well, but that wasn't the case. However, it has been a pleasant experience and I like the staff a lot. read more

They tried to force me to have procedures done and sell me stuff I did not want. Never saw a dentist, only a tech and salesperson. Don't like high pressure sales techniques when I'm there for something specific. Had my procedure done at another dentist. read more

This morning i had a great experience with Aspen Dental. The lady at the front desk was so kind and polite. She got the imformation she needed. The girl from the back came into the waiting room and I followed her back to the examing room. there was two dentist that came in and talked with me about the problem i have with my dentures. Both of them were kind, polite and caring of my problems. They recommended what i needed to be done. I went into the office and a girl went over some prices for some new dentures and a soft reline on my upper denture. She made me an appointment to get a soft reline and told me i could return at 1330 hrs for a reline. I went back for the appointment and a gentleman name Issac did a soft reline. He was kind and caring and was very professional at his job. He did a great job and the upper denture felt grate and if fit like it should.
