My venue recommended this photographer, so it was a no brainer for me. It was important for me to go with the venue's choice as the venue is a dimly lit place and I was told that an inexperienced photographer could have issues. Scott was a breeze to contact, email, and sign the contract. After that, it was just waiting. He did send reminders for the day of before the wedding, which were helpful. Scott showed up on time, if not slightly early, and shot pictures of me, the bride, in my hotel room and throughout the ceremony/reception at the venue. All the guests thought he was great and I'm impressed with all the photos he was able to get of the guests on top of the shots of me and the groom. The wedding was Nov. 7 and I had pictures 1.5 months later, which I think is amazing- especially for how busy he is! I have a friend that waited 3 months for just the first look photos! I've had Scott Kelley photograph me twice and both of my experiences were incredible! Scott is a blast to work with and a true professional- his talent, versatality and energy always results in an outcome that's greater than expected. Most recently I needed graduation photos taken. I contacted Scott on short notice and he set up a time for us to shoot within a few days! I was nervous at first, I had never had photos taken of just me and was worried about how to pose and that I would just end up looking and feeling silly. But my experience was the complete opposite of that - Scott made me feel more than comfortable, I felt like a star! He listened to what I wanted to get out of the shoot and posed me until I felt confident enough to freestyle it. After the shoot I asked Scott if it was possible to get the photos within two weeks (my graduation was only a month away and I needed to get invites out!) he said it was no problem - he gave me a few sample photos the very next day and had everything complete in a week! Did a fabulous job! I just got through them all, and he was spot on in capturing all the great moments. I was especially impressed with the church photos. I hadn't realized he was up in the balcony taking them! I was worried that we wouldn't get any during the ceremony, and he got all of the ceremony highlights. We hired Scott Kelley to photograph my daughter's engagement, bridal and wedding photos. We have been very pleased with Scott and his work. My favorite photos were the bridals. Despite being shot outside on a rainy day, they came out gorgeous, like something you would see in a magazine. The engagement and the wedding photos were excellent as well. I was VERY impressed with how quickly we had access to the proofs, and also how fast the photos were delivered after ordering them....even the large portrait-sized photos.
