I did my proposal and engagement pictures with them. The setting was the gorgeous view of downtown houston building lights at night on a rooftop bar in downtown. So I thought pictures shouldn't be hard to get. But none of the pictures we got from them turned out remotely as gorgeous as the ones we took ourselves the next day when we had a small party there. The downtown lights were muted which I'm perplexed about because it's so bright and there's so much of it out there. My other issue is that we specifically asked for him not to be all up in our faces during the proposal to allow for more privacy and a special moment. But he strong-handed us into making a big scene and deal of it and I say that because during the session I said no and yet he did it anyway. DO NOT GET YOUR WEBSITE DONE WITH THIS GUY!! I approached Neil Jou needing a website for my swimwear line. I knew him previously through a few photoshoots so I trusted him blindly as he claimed that he was proficient at creating exactly what I needed. WRONG! I waited almost a year for this website and it was never functional nor completed. Neil did not deliver as promised, in fact, he fell way short with a broken product. There were many errors and several quality control issues and I was constantly having to go back and forth with him even on the smallest things. We were literally going in circles for about 8 months... Come to find out that he assigned my website to a third party overseas (based on the information in the back end it indicated that it was done in India). This delayed my launch for so long that I had to hire a webmaster who found glaring security issues and outdated scripts, in other words, the website was garbage. This was supposed to be a retail website however, customers literally had no way to place an order. When I confronted Neil about all these issues I was appalled by his lack of professionalism and concern in providing ANY kind of resolution. In fact, his argument was: 1- He gave me a lower rate which I NEVER asked for (all I wanted was a working product) and 2- That I approved the layout on a couple of phases throughout the process (he knew I was completely clueless, I only approved what "looked" good, trusting that everything else would be functional). So I had no choice but to abandon the website and start all over with a professional. Unless you're doing a photoshoot with this guy or printing simple signs and banners do not work with him. I hope with this review I can save potential customers from becoming victims. read more

As long as you understand the complete ins and outs of printing you should be fine. I placed an order for some printing, the same exact order that I placed in January. The problem, the printing was HALF the size of the last order I placed. Neil Jou blamed me as I didn't do something correctly. Neil Jou claims that they responded to me with an image that should have made sense to me. Neil Jou claims that they checked with me to tell me they had to change sizing from 8.5 x 17 to 8.5 x 11. This didn't concern me because the last order was 8.5 x 11 as the finished product yet the new order is half the size. Bottom line, they didn't communicate how the change would affect the final product and now I'm stuck with unusable printed material. They won't fix the issue even though I ordered something the same way and it came in half the size. I have used Neil Jou for a number of years but I will not continue to do business with a company that won't admit they were wrong and fix the order. It wasn't even a huge order yet they refuse to take any responsibility and blame me for the entire fiasco. I would have been happier if they said that they could have made it clearer but no, they can't even do that. What they did offer is for me to pay more and they can fix it. Um, NO! read more

Ordered 100 business cards for $17. The price is awesome! However, when I received my business cards the backside font was too small to read!!! Before ordering there are no examples of your cards like vista print, so you don't know how they are going to look. Therefore, I figured they would use their expertise since I'm not able to proof them or know if the font is going to look too small, etc! No one contacted me or anything to let me know so I could send a revised image for the backside. They just printed the cards!!! **The website says if your not satisfied wit their quality of work they will reprint them!! Well they want me to pay again, instead of fixing the job! Very disappointed on the business cards they provided. I had to redo all the work and change the pixels on the business cards and the postcards that I had created. I would think that a professional printing business would be able to do that kind of work instead of asking their customer to change the pixels for them. I think I could've received a better product at the flea market and faster service. When I gave the ok, I got a confirmation a week later stating that my order was about to be shipped!. I was also expecting them to expedite the product after all the hassle and delay that I went with them, EVEN THOUGH I did emphasize to them that I was disappointed on the service. It honestly looks like a teenager made my business cards but I cant throw them away because its money that I invested on them. Oh well. What else can I do? I did ask for a refund right when they told me that I had to redo all the work but it was disregarded and no one ever replied. I also sent business to vista print which looks so much better. Only reason I order from Neil Jou was because the price was cheaper and seem that it would've been faster but actually all the opposite. From the time that I paid to the time that I received was a total of 14 days not 3 days like they advertise. I've seen VISTAPRINT work and it is 10 times better then the product that Neil Jou co. sent me. Maybe they are good with photographs or if they create the business cards for you. But I'm NOT willing to spend one more penny to figure it out. So business owners BEWARE if you have a design already made and want to save money maybe ask them to send you a preview before you purchase a couple thousands of prints like I did. :/ . read more
