Finding that all in one company is nearly impossible -- but I found it with Jose and J. Gudiel Landscape. Jose came out to see my house and discuss what I wanted. I was away when they first came to work but when I got home, even in the dark, I could tell they had been at the house and did a great job weeding, trimming trees and mowing. I am very happy with the quality of their work and attention to detail. I then asked Jose to help clean up an overgrown section of the property to prepare it for a playground. Jose made some suggestions and was able to start right away. His team worked long days in the heat and everyone was very nice. My kids and I liked watching the trucks and tractors and seeing the progress. We were very happy with the outcome. I am very happy with J. Gudiel Landscape and look forward to working with them year-round as they offer all the services I need to keep my property looking great. We had a back porch that was rotting and falling apart and needed to be removed. We also had a hot tub that I thought would complicate things. But when Jose arrived to give us a quote he knew exactly what needed to be done and that's why we hired him. His team deconstructed our porch and made a beautiful patio along with two sets of steps. They also made a support wall to ensure that the steps stay in place. Throughout this whole project, Jose was easily approachable, communicative and friendly. I have been using Smart Landscaping for years and was previously happy with the service. This year…read morehas been the worst year working with them and I will no longer work with them. Here are some of the reasons: - They never notify us when they are coming so if we do not take our lights down in our bushes, they end up destroyed as they say in their contract they are not responsible. We have had to replace several lights and also ripped furniture covers. I watch the crew just rush through the work without any regards to quality or our things and do not care if they destroy them. - They supposedly removed weeds, however we ended up with poisonous India Poke weed in our flower beds. - Our lawn had several yellow spots and despite reaching out to them about it I never heard back. - We do not do lawn mowing with them and they mowed our lawn with the Fall clean up and charged us for this without asking. It was not outlined in the contract that they would do a lawn mowing with fall clean up. Its unfortunate that this service has gone down hill. I liked working with them for years and had been happy with them in the past and hopefully this review will help them adjust their practices.

Perennial Connection abandoned our job and stopped responding to us…read more John Hod charmed us with his personality at first. We hired him in October 2018 to restore and modify our existing retaining wall. Soon after, he bait and switched us with another contractor, Mike Masciarelli, aka: Randy on Call. To this day I have never met Mike. Mike was supposed to be the "communicator" and "project manager" while John would be the mason. 6 months later the job is less than half done and both John and Mike have been MIA for over two weeks at this point. In fact, there are parts of our existing retaining wall that are in worse shape than before we hired Perennial Connection. John demolished some portions for upgrading and they currently remain demolished because they never returned. Throughout these past 6 months of torture John and Mike would go days - even a week plus - without responding. Then a text would appear: "sorry we'll be there tomorrow" to tide us over. Then they would fail to show up again. John and Mike are also poor at taking direction and/or poor masons. I'm a designer myself so was able to provide very detailed drawings of what we wanted. The little work that they did do wasn't what we spec'd and it was sloppy. The lack of communication and attention to detail is astounding. DO NOT hire these people. They will more than disappoint you. They will torture your mind and steal your money without delivering what they promise.

He's cut my lawn, weeded beds, seeded a new lawn, cleared out about an acre of downed limbs, branches and brush in order to open up the land for planting a woodlands garden. He's extremely polite, friendly, considerate and always on time. His prices are very fair. Really can't say enough good things about Fran and his crew. So grateful that I found him years ago.
