Jose and his team installed this beautiful front walk of pavers lined with cobblestones, granite entry, and mailbox. Jose called me and set up an appointment within hours of reaching out on Yelp. He came by and walked the whole property, asking questions about the house to understand what kinds of things we like and why. He left us with a Uni-lock book so that we could see everything that was possible and not just pick from a few options (I feel like some contractors push you to higher margin items for them where you don't always get the best product). Jose made some really great suggestions to tie our design together, as you can see the gorgeous granite mailbox post that matches our giant 4'x5' solid landing. I was surprised at the level of detail to things that I had no idea were so important. The walkway is elevated for drainage, plus the yard is pitched away from the walkway so water never pools anywhere. We always get compliments on the front of our house and I know it's in part because of Jose and the fantastic work of his team. We've been lucky to have them back for other projects and I'll be posting reviews of that work as well. I highly recommend Jose and his crew. We had them do a HUGE job. They ripped out our in ground pool which was surrounded by concrete and a fence, plus existing patio and retaining wall. I really wanted to find a landscaping company that could 'do it all' - lawn, trees, landscaping, plowing, etc. And find someone who would listen to what I wanted, educate me more, and suggest ideas. Finding that all in one company is nearly impossible -- but I found it with Jose and J. Gudiel Landscape. Jose came out to see my house and discuss what I wanted. I was away when they first came to work but when I got home, even in the dark, I could tell they had been at the house and did a great job weeding, trimming trees and mowing. I am very happy with the quality of their work and attention to detail. I then asked Jose to help clean up an overgrown section of the property to prepare it for a playground. Jose made some suggestions and was able to start right away. His team worked long days in the heat and everyone was very nice. I am very happy with the work that Jose and his company did in my yard. I hired him to trim/prune trees/shrubs, remove a tree, cut down lots of invasive vines, and remove remnants of a swing set wood perimeter. He was very professional (as were his crew), provided a quote on a Wednesday, starting the following Monday and finished in one day. The yard looks so much better! They even cleared my driveway which I was not expecting. I got several quotes before hiring him, and was surprised in general how much tree work costs (and how widely quoted prices varied). His price was competitive (I paid $3,000). I would recommend him to others. I suggest getting several quotes so that you are not surprised by the going rate for tree and landscaping work. read more

Jose even stopped by several times after the work had been done just to check on the trees and make sure they were doing well, specially because the planted them a little bit into summer and it was so hot. We had a number of projects in mind and Jose was able to come out the very next day to do a walk around and provide estimates. The estimates were emailed to me within 48 hours and were reasonably priced (other providers I had engaged took weeks just to send estimates!!). We decided to only go forward with a small fraction of the projects and Jose didn't push us at all to do more - he was happy to take on the work. He was able to complete the job within a week during peak season and his team went above and beyond our expectations.
