Only met Scott Litman's staff. The individual I worked with to get an auto quote was unimpressive. I went to the agency in person for a quote on the spot. The staff member said she wasn't able. After giving her all my information and desired coverage, I asked for an estimate or ballpark of the quote. She couldn't make an estimate. *Note: I called prior to driving there and told them I was hoping to get a quote. If they couldn't offer it to me in person, they should have told me on the phone. That said, I read the other reviews and it seems like I was unlucky working with an inexperienced staff member. It seems like other members of the agency are more experienced. read more

She is amazing in so many ways: knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, and answers questions promptly or provides answers quickly that need to be researched. Well I needed proof of insurance and my lender kept saying I was providing the wrong info so I call Litman's office and Donna answered the phone ... I was so upset because I didn't have the right documents for the lender, I was using my outside voice. Donna very calmly said, 'Ms. Baker we are providing the right information" and I countered with, "No you're not." She then said she'd send me what they had sent the lender ... and I'll be gosh darn, she was providing the right information. I had to call and apologize for being so rude earlier - she was so gracious. She totally understood why I was upset and thanked me for my apology. Moral of the story -- Don't always believe your lender -- instead call Donna at Scott Litman's office and she'll set it straight. Thank you Donna. read more

Donna was very helpful in helping me obtain a proof of insurance that was required by my mortgage company so they would release the escrow impound. I was stuck in an endless loop of calls to provide the right info to the right party. It was a complete hassle to hunt down money that was owed to my by my mortgage company. It took me 4 phone calls to receive a simple answer. They appeared to be more concerned with any liability that could be created by their staff not giving accurate information than helping me with the answer to my question. I was told that they don't provide any information over the phone and that I had to email their customer service dept. After doing this, their customer service dept. referred me to EOI direct, whom in turn referred me back to the agency. After insisting on speaking to a manager, I final received the simple answer that I had asked 20 minutes earlier. Very frustrating, not a fan... read more

I'm on my condo's HOA Board of Directors. It came time for us to renew our HOA's building insurance. My building had 2 prior large claims within the last 3 years so there was little wiggle room in pricing. This agency is just fine so long as you don't need to file a claim. I dropped them for my personal homeowners insurance when they refused to subrogate a claim when a neighbor's tree fell in my yard and I wound up having to collect via small claims court. Unfortunately, I am stuck with them as insurer for my rental property homeowners association and they are now refusing to file a claim for extensive water damage to the walls even though the homeowners association representative requested that they do so. Samantha in particular refuses to acknowledge emails and insists that only the homeowners association can file a claim, ignoring the fact that they have indeed done so. Meanwhile, the bills pile up and I cannot get compensation from the own insurer due to her stubborn refusal to do her job. read more

I had auto and home insurance with Scott Litman/ Farmers years ago. I found a better company to take care of my auto. I had found it very difficult to receive help understanding the policy details never mind getting advice or insight on what options could best fit my family needs. I am happy with the decision of leaving Scott Litman/ Farmers auto. Now I am considering taking my home insurance away as well. Communication and professionalism is again not consistent or readily provided. I am happy to change my rating if the customer service improves. I am also happy to change it if it does not. read more
