Scott is the BEST! Saying that is an understatement. I first walked into his store about a month before my engagement, with no idea of what I wanted or where to begin, not only did he steer me in the right direction but he was HONEST. (Honesty is something you don't find much of in the industry anymore.) He told me what looked good, and what didn't, what would keep its value, and what wouldn't even if it cost him. He worked tirelessly with me until I made the decision on the ring that I wanted. When the final decision had come this only left us with about two weeks. He started working on it right away! Then I made his life a little harder, I became unhappy about the diamond not having a laser inscription on it 2 weeks prior to the date. When he saw I was unhappy he rush shipped it in with his wife to the city to make sure it was done in time. Not only that but he changed out the center setting to fit the kind of diamond in that I wanted into the original band that I wanted. All to make the perfect custom ring that I wouldn't find anywhere else. Not only did he do all of this, but he did it at NO EXTRA CHARGE, even when it cost him more out of pocket. And on top of all of this he still had the ring completed almost an entire week early incase we needed to make anymore modifications. Which jeweler is willing to do all of that for their customer within one week? I cannot boast enough of this mans qualities, he is honest, respectable, and has an eye for design. Not only is he a jeweler but he is an artist and sculptor and has won many awards in design for various jewelry he has designed in the past. If you are looking for a great jeweler look no further! This small store on Middle Neck road has a nice selection but is known best for custom work and repairs. A Jeweler on premise helps get things done quickly and cost effectively! I should've written something sooner because after going to a few other jewelers and having some bad experiences, I finally found this gem! Let me tell you, Scott was so professional and genuine in his assistance that I left his store feeling great about selling an estate piece from my mother that I had been holding onto for 11 years. He took the time to study the diamonds, admired the quality and even made a call to see if another jeweler would be interested in the bracelet. He also called to get a quote on the diamonds' worth, which made me feel like he was really trying to offer me a fair market price. We even chatted after our business was concluded where he shared his many years of experience in the field with me. I highly recommend him if you have old jewelry or estate pieces that you're thinking about selling- he will put you at ease through the whole process.
