It's not just the schooling, they have to have the knack!! I moved to Michigans UP 25 yrs ago and had alot of trouble finding someone! I tried 7 different chiropractors before I finally found one that worked for me. Unfortunately, he retired! I tried another one there in town and he simply did not work. I went to another out of town and he didn't work either! But I kept with him, for lack of another, when my Primary Care Doctor recommended Dr. Dom!! I am thankful every day she did!! We met Kristin and were put at ease immediately. She listened compassionately, asked all the right questions, and was perfectly professional while emanating warmth and care. We met with her a few times during the pregnancy and each time we came away more aware of our options and feeling more prepared for the birth of our son. What we didn't realize was that Kristin really became our hero after birth! A few days after being home, I was a sleep-deprived, hormonal mess! Kristin came to our house at 11:00 at night and calmed me down! She walked with me through all the fear, inexperience, and a mountain of questions! Now that I'm on the other side and my son is 7 months and sleeping peacefully as I type this, I cannot imagine going through any of that without her. The depth of caring and concern they have for people is real and genuine. Due to my illnesses, which I have two the doctors say are non-curable, I have always had the experience of walking into a place and either being told "sorry we cannot help you", or "sure, we can help you", only to have them only take my money and then turn the cold shoulder. It was such a relief to be able to walk into the Spa and have not only people who cared, but understood and truly wanted to do something to help. Tenee' and Teresa both are wonderful massage therapists, they are able to work on me without causing pain to my body which is in constant pain. When they are finished working on my body, the pain levels are greatly reduced and I am able to walk around with minimal effort. It is such a relief and a blessing to know both of them. Cyndi is a God send as well; with her knowledge of herbs and genuine loving nature, she has managed to work with me and create lotions, bath salts and other items for which bring much needed relief at home. Not only did I feel better after my time with Dr. Gaunt, but months after my therapy, I'm still feeling wonderful. I spent a couple of years hurting, wanting to stay physically active, but being restricted because of back pain. I discussed my issues with my primary doctor and my pain management physician. I scheduled steroid injections. I spent time doing physical therapy. Then, I found Dr. Gaunt. Hands down, one of the best decisions I've made regarding my health. Using several different modalities, Dr. Gaunt, in a professional, personable, thoughtful, organized and educational way, helped me get back to the hiking path, the weight room, the slalom ski, and (unfortunately) house chores.
