Even though I have only 1-bed apartment at WP Corp, so 5 rooms, the guy called Joel asked me for $2900, instead of their announced common charge of $400 per room, including free white color for the ceilings. I accepted $2900, insted of $2000 (s 5 X $400 per room) since I wanted painting of 4 closets inside and the ceiling in the L/R needed some plastering. Joel considered the cIosets as 1 separate room. I showed the guy what to plaster on the ceiling. There were two strips on there, which had some rough plastering after an electrical repair made by the previous owner. On 3/04/24 they, 3-4 Hispanics, started and completed the work. But it was a disasterin the L/R ceiling. They have tried to make it as pop-corn from that liquid material which is sold in Home Depot. I called Joel, he came, and we had an argument. The ceiling was made worse than it was before the paiting. He had misunderstood my request about the plastering. This is what happens with guys who don't understand the common English. Finally, he agreed to a discount of $400, and I paid $2500. Even after a month I discover many points on the walls without any plastering at all. If I wasn't an old man, I could do a better job myself. Folks, stay away from them! Gus, in WP, Bayside.

They are talented at what they do, easily troubleshoot unforeseen problems, precise, polite, timely and take pride in their work. My family and I actually missed them when the project was over. Before hiring Stephen, we met with 12 other contractors! Obviously, that's pretty excessive but there was always something about each contractor that just didn't "sit right" with us. Upon meeting Stephen, it was as if all of the pieces fell into place - price, extent of work to be done, time frame and a sense of honesty that we got from him. Stephen walked us through the entire process from demolition to picking out cabinets and countertops to construction and completion. Toward the end of the project, Stephen mentioned that the old door frame between my kitchen and den wouldn't look too nice when seen against a brand new kitchen. He suggested that he rip it out and replace it with a new door frame. Being that the door frame was not mentioned in the contract, my first question was, "How much more will that cost me?" He said, "Nothing. I'm not going to charge extra for that. I just want the job to look as good as possible." Who else does that nowadays? Excellent Quality, Fair Priced, Great Communication and Problem Solving…read moreI wanted to renovate my daughter's bathroom but keep the existing vanity, toilet and tub/shower. The existing bathroom walls were water damaged with chair rail and bead board running halfway up the sides. They walls needed to be primed, plastered and painted after the chair rail and bead board were removed, a piece added to fill the gap where the vanity did not flushly meet the wall and new bullnose tiles installed where the shower/tub met the wall. Also there was a second door from the hallway into the bathroom that I wanted removed. It was sheet rocked inside the bathroom and the hall wall side matched to the elaborate molding that ran along the bottom half. The guys had to build the molding from scratch because it is no longer manufactured..The finished hallway wall looks as though it has always been there,!!! And the bathroom itself, looks roomier, bright and fresh without the chair rail and beadboard. The guys came to work promptly every morning, cleaned up every night before they left, used drop cloths and plastic sheets to protect the rest of the house. They consulted me every step of the way as they built new molding from scratch, planned out how to fill the gap and checking to make sure I was happy with the result- WHICH I WAS. Frank and Justin, the project managers, were extremely responsive to my concerns and the two on site guys were GREAT. I whole heartedly recommend Prestige for any construction project, small or big , you might be considering.
