He took our engagement and wedding photos, and we even added on time for him to photograph our Indian Wedding ceremony the afternoon before the wedding. I had previously seen Scott's work after he photographed my friend's wedding and loved how he captured their untraditional venue and managed to stay true to who they are as a couple. Scott is such an amazing photographer! My husband and I hired him for our engagement shoot and for our wedding a year later. For our engagement shoot, we met in San Francisco to take photos at the Japanese tea garden. Unfortunately, my husband and I got stuck in bad traffic and arrived so late but Scott was super understanding and did not rush through the photoshoot which I really appreciated! Scott and his assistants did our engagement and wedding photography, and we had a terrific experience with them. Scott, Alyssa, and Lee-Huang really went above and beyond when it came to our engagement shoot, driving from San Francisco to Los Angeles on the day after Christmas so that we could meet up for photos before my fiance and I flew back to Ohio the following day. We went to two locations -- the Griffith Observatory and the Santa Monica Pier. They were great at offering suggestions or guidance when we asked for it, but mostly just let us do our thing. My fiance and I were blown away by the quality of the pictures. There were so many great shots. Scott is great at using light to his advantage, and the pictures he took of us under the pier as the sun was going down were phenomenal. They worked tirelessly, and were willing to continue taking photos of us until we said we'd had enough. Our wedding was in Carlsbad, CA (a beach town about 45 minutes north of San Diego) and he, Alyssa, and Michael flew down from San Francisco the day before. They were all over our ceremony, getting lots of creative shots, and did a nice job of capturing the important moments. After the ceremony, we did pictures with family, and they were very organized with the list we had provided them ahead of time. Things went very smoothly. Scott again proved his adeptness at working with light (and editing) when he shot brightly backlit images of us and the bridal party (so that we wouldn't be staring into the sun) and the pictures came out perfect - not dark at all. They also set up a photo booth style area at the reception, which was a huge hit with all our guests. The setup was very professional, there was a great selection of props, and the photos were high quality and fun to share with everyone. I would DEFINITELY recommend adding this -- it was very reasonably priced compared with other rates in the area and extremely well done. Throughout the process, Scott was very communicative and great at listening to our preferences when it came to the types of photos we wanted (we like those really "epic" shots that show a lot of the surrounding landscape, and we're not so into the photos of couples with blurry objects in the foreground). His work was also very reasonably priced, and his turnaround time for the fully edited shots was very quick. Best of all, he provided all the full-size digital versions of photos to us for free (without a watermark) and gave us a link to share with friends who could download them for free too. My wife and I used Scott's services for our wedding in Sept 2013. Our wedding was at the Tenaya Lodge in Yosemite. Having our wedding in a unique setting required us to find a unique photog to accommodate. Scott and his team certainly fit the bill for that! Scott has certainly done quite a few weddings and his experience clearly came through. We had a great plan laid out ahead of time, so that day of, we got all the pictures we needed and with very little hassle. He had a great team with him to ensure that all the necessarily angles were met. Another amazing thing about Scott's offering is how tech savvy he is. He goes above and beyond what any of my photog friends would believe. He had one automated camera centered during the ceremony to ensure all the necessary photos were taken. That allowed him to move around during the ceremony to get more creative shots. His team also had the creative flexibility to do the same. Furthermore, Scott brought along the most wonderful photobooth I've ever seen. It was a great hit. It was big enough to allow for big group photos; had tons of accessories to get things really goofy; worked perfectly with Facebook to upload and share all the photos really easily. We hired Scott and his team for our wedding photos and they were amazing! Our wedding was a 4 day affair (I'm Indian) and they were present for all 4 events and took some BEAUTIFUL pictures. We also requested their presence at these events pretty short notice and they were able to accommodate the last minute requests and, sometimes, long hours of events. The planning process was pretty easy and casual - just set up some time to talk through the "style" of photos we like, the type of people we are, and how/when the events work. My husband and I aren't very into PDA and are actually pretty awkward in photos that require affection, but they grabbed so many perfect candids of us with minimal awkwardness. They are also extremely helpful the day of, when everyone is stressed. Alyssa, one of the other photographers, was there during the part where I put on my white gown. The zipper got stuck and she was right up in there with the bridesmaids helping that zip up and immediately taking photos right after. I was SO lucky to find Scott as my wedding photographer!! I found him through a friend of a friend and couldn't be more thrilled with the pictures. My husband and I met him a few months prior to our wedding for an engagement shoot in San Francisco, it was a great way to get to know him and his assistant before the big day. I am not the most photogenic person in the world, but he made me feel comfortable and at ease. When he gave me a sneak peak of the pictures on his camera I was blown away, they were absolutely breathtaking, and very artistic. On the big day, he was actually at the ceremony and reception location before my bridesmaids and I. He came early to scope out locations for pictures, and to take pictures of the room, cake, bouquets etc. That way after the ceremony we wouldn't waste time with all of those details. He was absolutely great to work with on the day of, it was really HOT that day and Scott and his assistant hustled all day long. He took the most amazing pictures, and captured all of special moments of our day perfectly. He even posted a camera in the arch where we said our vows that was controlled by a remote. He was able to catch great angles of me walking down the aisle with my dad, our vows, and the all-important first kiss! When my husband and I went around to all of the tables to greet everyone, he followed us and took pictures along the way, so we have awesome pictures with all of our guests! I am still getting compliments to this day from friends and family about how great the pictures look, and people wanting copies of their own.
