I started seeing Wagner following a bad car accident. I chose him, because of his reputation.
He was horrible to work with.. Insensitive to pain - especially due to his rough adjustment techniques, he was arrogant, refused to listen, constantly talked over me when I tried to explain anything to him, etc... I finally started seeing Dr. Sisek, but for some reason I had to see Scott, that day.
I had mentioned to him (being a sports medicine doctor,) that I had twisted and collapsed on my knee and it really hurt. He LITERALLY didn't look up from his paper and dismissively waived his hand and said "Just ice it."
I was so disgusted that when I was checking out, I asked to speak with the office manager and they had qme talk to Rikki. I explained my feelings and everything to that point and concluded with "And if you really want to make me happy, you can tell Dr. Wagner to go 'eff' himself." (Lol, not the smartest thing in hindsight, but I was so fed up with him and the knee thing was the straw that broke the camel's back).
I was later notified Wagner had (maliciously) cleared me from injuries from the wreck. My sacrum was so bad, he'd said that's why he hadn't really started working on it (???) And now I'm Cleared? Dr. Sisek said it was so painful and tricky to adjust because it was rotated AND twisted. I wasn't even down to being able to see him 1X a week.. And I'm CLEARED?
She then said Wagner thought I wasn't doing my exercises. I wasn't not doing my exercises - I was OVER doing my exercises, because of misinformation Ben gave me.
I asked if I could do 1 rep of 30 instead of 3 reps of ten and he said "yes." Also, keep in mind, these weren't slow, gentle exercises... I had four weight plates for resistance. My muscles burned at the end. I thought it was good... That's how I'm used to exercising. But I wasn't sure. He said it was fine. Two other doctors said it wasn't.
I had three of his $20 ice packs cause I lived on them all day long and had to switch them out, I was in so much pain.. Had the band, had the ball.. I was doing my exercises.
Went to see another chiropractor who has NASA imaging technology, and she didn't even feel qualified to treat me.
Oh, the knee? Thank God I went to a REAL doctor... I ended up in a $700+ knee brace because of a torn LCL, courtesy UVA Orthapaedics.
He compromised my case, I was never able to get the treatment I needed, and I'm still in pain.

Edit: 1.2.19
After my review the staff felt imputnged to call my *mother* (I'm 41) and threaten that they were calling an attorney, if I didn't pull my FB and Google reviews.
After assuring her not to worry and everything was factual, I attempted to reach out to the office. Mainly, to tell them not to harass my mother.
After being on hold, the office manager promptly hung up on me. I called back. Kristen hung up on me as soon as I said my name. Both calls were recorded.
I'll be reporting this behavior. I also told mom to give them my number, but, to instruct them no one from that office is to call me, and it's STRICLY for the "attorney's" use.
If telling the truth in a review makes you feel like you have to call an attorney - you're DEFINTELY doing something wrong.
Edit: third hang up, by Rikki. Was trying to give her my number to give to the "attorney." (Also recorded). read more
