We were also joking on our way there that we wished the market would have heating lamps, but they actually had two or three! Quite fancy. Additionally, there were selections of jewelry, knitted things, chocolates, and carved things when we went. I picked up several ornaments for my friends as gifts. I checked the website before going, and expected food options ("European food," it said) but was sad to find out that there were no such vendors. Maybe the food vendors only set up camp during the evenings, in which case I would have scheduled our visit to be later. I definitely missed currywursts, pretzels, and other munchies for the complete European market-vibe! But still, a cute market you should definitely check out if you are in the area.

We filled up a mug of hot Gluhwein and explored the market . For as small as it is there were a surprising number of vendors with good variety of local crafts like Christmas ornaments, artwork, ceramics, clothing, etc. The market is perhaps and oasis amidst the myriad commercial stuff on King St. I also enjoyed the live music, which was just a guys playing acoustic guitar, but he was quite entertaining.

The pasta is outstanding and the service is better than expected. We really enjoyed the Caesar salad which had a crunchy dusting of croton particles. One of the best Caesar salads in the area. We finished the meal off with a slice of their famous olive oil cake. Very unique with slight salty taste accompanied by sweet raisins at the base of the slice. Looking forward to our next visit. Great restaurant and worth the hype.

Bar seating is first come, first serve. The complementary focaccia & the meatball appetizers were good, but the roasted heirloom carrots stole the show for appetizers. We got the two menu specials for dinner, and they were really good. I love homemade pasta, and you can taste that everything is made with fresh ingredients. Like I said, the portions aren't very large for the price you're paying. There are other really good Italian restaurants in the area where you can get more homemade pasta for less money, but we left satisfied. The quality of food plus the ambiance makes Thompson a great place for a date night. Overall, it was a lovely dinner, and we'll definitely be back.

Locked away in a comforting space within an office building, it always feels like I stepped into a mom and pop style restaurant. The hosts, servers, chefs, and owner are just incredible- super friendly, knowledgeable, and they really treat you like family here. Now the food. The food is so delicious here. Some of my s/o and my favorite dishes are the cheese pizza (you seriously cannot beat the price), and gnocchi, which is covered in a creamy tomato sauce with chunks of onion and warm tomatoes, and the chicken pesto pasta. Honestly, I've never had a bad meal here. Everything is portioned perfectly, and I swear you never leave hungry here. They also went viral for their chicken caesar wrap too, and I can attest that it's yummy! I'd ask for extra sauce on the side if possible though, but that's because I'm a caesar lover! I'd highly recommend everyone checking out Aldo's. The owner is the sweetest, most caring man and he really is so appreciative of all the customers. If you have a craving for some italian food, go here! And also, don't leave without trying their tiramisu or walk out with their rainbow cookies!

What's better than ice cream on a hot summer day? Ice cream + a Yelp event, of course!…read more I've driven past Goodies Frozen Custard many times, so it was awesome that I was able to enjoy some of their menu items while chatting with other Yelpers, as well as with our amazing CM, Kimi; and shout out to MD Burbs CM Andrew who popped by to assist with the event. Post-pandemic, parking in and around the Old Town neighborhoods is much easier, so thankfully I was able to snag a spot a few minutes away. Walking up to the Goodies, the patio was decked out in Yelp signage and a DJ who was spinning summertime tunes. After checking in, Kimi directed us to head up the stairs (past the nostalgic Bob's Big Boy statue) and choose from the three options being sampled. I had the "But I'm an Elite Sundae" and it was delectable, especially on such a warm day. A deceivingly good portion of vanilla custard was topped with not overly sweet chocolate sauce, and sprinkles. The custard was indeed smooth and the crunchy sprinkles provided a nice textural crunch. As usual, the Yelp NOVA crew also partnered with local businesses for us to try. I actually saw YOJU cocktails at my local COSTCO, so I was excited to try it...that and I do enjoy a cold soju beverage in the summer. My favorites were the mango and white peach, with the white peach slightly edging out due to the nice fruity flavor profile. And the old fashioned I sampled from the Three Keyes Distillery was fantastic. I normally don't imbibe with bourbon often, but it was so smoky yet velvety, and didn't have that "burn" which accompanies lower quality bourbons. Thanks also to Three Keyes for the cool wooden coaster which I'm currently using at my work desk! Another fabulous event by Kimi and the NOVA curated for the Yelp community.
