Hole-in-the-wall Italian restaurant tucked into the back of a large office park with huge portions of delicious food Complimentary garlic bread to start & brownies for dessert Lots of options Plenty of seating inside and a few outdoor tables as well Server was pretty unfriendly, but the food came fast. Also, the guy who owns it (Aldo?) was very friendly. He was walking around asking people how meals were and thanking them for coming. The setting is not too impressive, but don't let that deter you because the food is

Chat Gpt told me to go there and I'm so glad I did! Food was phenomenal, atmosphere was great, and the staff were very friendly. I live in Kansas, but if I'm ever back in the DC area I will definitely go back.

We can pretty much count on a good dining experience at Aldo's. It's true that once we came in for dinner and were seated but the staff was so swamped we knew it would take too long to be served, so we left. Yet, that was two years ago. However, this week we had over-the-top excellent service. We didn't see the owner this time, but the other times we've been here, the owner is cordial and very engaging with his customers. On our most recent visit we ordered a build-your-own pizza and the tutto di mare. JP noted that the price for the tutto di mare had increased but so had the size of the portion served. This linguini seafood dish was deemed superb by JP. The pizza was pretty good. For toppings, I ordered pepperoni, Italian sausage and mushrooms with mozzarella cheese and a tomato sauce. Though to be honest, I didn't really like the floppy Neopolitan crust nor the flavor of the Italian sausage. We also ordered the garlic bread as a side, even though that was redundant to the complimentary garlic bread they serve. That's okay because their garlic bread is fabulous and I can eat it all day. We didn't go for dessert but were still served triangles of a moist, delicious and rich chocolate chip brownie. Parking close by Aldo's is limited. There are a few reserved slots for Aldo's, but most of the other close-by parking spots are reserved for other businesses, even though they are not being used at dinner time.

Came here around 7pm, didn't wait too long for a table even though it was a full restaurant. Pretty unique that they turned an old office building into a restaurant, gave it a unique experience that you don't get very often. All the staff were very friendly. We ordered the chicken parm, shrimp scampi, rigatoni bolognese with gluten free pasta, and spinach ravioli with a side Caesar salad. The salad was great, came out in a pretty big size that we could've shared with all four of us. The Chicken parm was really good, sauce has great flavor and was good, and the chicken was a big piece too. The Spinach ravioli; spinach had a really good flavor, cream was delicious and velvety. The Rigatoni bolognese with gluten free pasta; sauce was very flavorful, meat was cooked perfectly, and the pasta was cooked perfectly as well. The Shrimp scampi wasn't very spicy, but had great flavor, and the shrimp and pasta were cooked perfectly as well. We also got the cheesecake as a dessert and it was delicious as well. The garlic bread however, was the main dish for that meal! It was absolutely delicious, it had a great balance of flavors with the garlic and oil and cheese. It had this perfect crunch, and was probably the best garlic bread we've ever eaten! Definitely wish we could come back here on another trip since coming to DC is a spring break trip. We'll be keeping this place on our list when we come back!

Normally good food; however, it feels like it's slipping a bit. They're in a slightly out-of-the-way place, which isn't a problem, and offer free parking. There are tables in and outside, but sometimes outdoor seating makes it hard to see the customers. Service is generally good, and the setting (in and out) is very casual. The last two times the pasta seemed slightly overcooked (definitely not al dente), and flavors were a little bland. On this last trip I had the aglio y olio, which was ok, but was bland and had too much olive oil.

Aldo's Italian kitchen is located in an office park. As soon as you walk up you can smell all of the delicious ingredients coming from the inside of the restaurant. The restaurant has a lunch and dinner menu. I originally planned on trying out the chicken parmigiana sandwich. Since i arrived after the lunch menu stopped I decided to dine in and try the chicken parmigiana dinner I was served a piece of garlic bread. The bread was crispy and I wish there was some olive oil to dip the bread in. The chicken parmigiana came out pretty quickly. I wish the chicken was seasoned a little more but the texture was crispy. The sauce was good. I believe they have daily specials. I overheard a server tell another table. I would definitely come back and try some of the sandwiches.

Nothing too special, casual dining spot with quick service Italian food. I ordered the Godfather, a salami, pepperoni and ham sandwich...bread was soft, but toppings and filling left a little to be desired. Very simple, straightforward Italian shop.

This place looks and feels so cozy run by the owner itself and very welcoming and tried to have rapport with customers. We got pepperoni pizza, lasagna, and garlic bread which was so good! I am all stuffed so I made sure to take out one more garlic bread. This place has so much good stuff in the menu and we are planning to go back and try it.

The place can get quite busy so I would highly recommend making a reservation first. We ordered some cocktails which all tasted amazing, I enjoyed the espresso martini the most. Our table ordered the baked oysters and tuna tartare to start. The oysters were seriously so fricking good, I wanted to order another round! The tuna tarate was refreshing and tasted really good as well. I highly recommend ordering the fish curry or their scallop entree. I also got to have a bite of the chicken & waffles and the steak pasta but I would skip on those. Super excited to come back!!

My wife and I arrived around 1:20 p.m. on a Thursday. The lunch crowd was still going strong, which only reinforced that we had picked a popular spot. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill almost immediately. When we walked in, there was no hostess to be found. After waiting about four minutes, she finally appeared and offered us a choice between a small table in the corner or one by the bar. Given how busy the restaurant was, we took the table by the bar. About seven minutes later, someone finally came by to offer us water and explained that our server was busy, but she would help us in the meantime. No problem. We ordered the Avo Goddess Salad and asked that it be split so we could share it. A few minutes later, our server arrived, introduced herself, and we let her know we had already ordered the salad and were ready to place our lunch orders. She was very helpful in guiding my wife toward the Old Bay Shrimp Burger. I was excited to order the Shrimp and Grits until I learned it contained Andouille sausage and, according to our server, couldn't be prepared without it. Since the restaurant highlights that everything is made from scratch, that surprised me. I ended up ordering the Ahi Tuna Salad instead. So far, so good. Then came the frustration. We spent the next 20 minutes slowly picking at our salad, growing increasingly hungry and confused. You know something is wrong when guests who were seated after you begin receiving their meals before you. Finally, at 2:10 p.m., our food arrived: my Ahi Tuna Salad and a Pulled Lamb Sandwich for my wife. Except my wife had ordered the Shrimp Burger. When we pointed out the mistake to what was now our third server, she quickly assured us it would be corrected. A few minutes later, our original server returned and took full responsibility. She explained that the lamb and shrimp items are next to each other in the POS system and she accidentally selected the wrong item. She assured us the Shrimp Burger would be out in two minutes and suggested we enjoy the fries that came with the lamb sandwich while we waited. Unfortunately, another ten minutes passed before the burger finally arrived. Here's where things became truly disappointing: the top bun was still cold--almost frozen. My wife ended up removing it entirely and eating the sandwich with just the bottom bun. At best, the Shrimp Burger was decent, but certainly not worth the wait and frustration. As for my Ahi Tuna Salad, it felt like something I could easily make at home, especially considering the $25 price tag. I'm also not entirely convinced the tuna was particularly fresh. I can't bring myself to give Matt and Tony's one star because the atmosphere is genuinely cool and inviting. So I settled on two stars--mostly for how I felt before the experience unraveled. And listen, I get it. Mistakes happen. We're all human. But as someone who eats out frequently, here's one piece of advice: when a restaurant makes a significant mistake with a customer's order, consider taking that item off the bill. Sometimes that gesture is the only reason a guest decides to come back.

The chicken was good, but the aioli and hot sauce were drizzled over everything, and it didn't taste good on a sweet-tasting waffle. There was no butter or syrup with it, so I'm not sure if the hot sauce was meant to be the topping for the waffle too, but it wasn't great. The few bites I had of just waffle tasted really good. Not what I expected but it will suit specific people looking for their offerings. Burton's Grill is your typical all American restaurant but focuses on serving all the dietary needs of Americans with allergies or not. The place looks new, the kind of place you wanna wear clean clothes at a minimum and not look slovenly. Outside sitting, full large bar, sports on several TVs above the center of the bar, and a lot of servers milling around here. Great lighting, not loud but not quiet either, just chill. We were starved so our eyes ate. Brunch was still being served till 3pm on Saturdays and Sundays so I grabbed the French Toast and the Steak and Eggs. My friend had allergies with gluten so she went with a salmon and some super salad dish. She was happy as all the dishes had markers for gluten free, food free, soul free, etc. Very helpful for all allergy infused humans. Great waitress btw. Fantastic service. Food came after some time, we requested for everything to come out on time. Steak and egg was okay but I'd go with the prime rib next time. The steak came out sliced with 2 poached eggs on top. The hash on the side was on point. Salmon okay too. Salad was okay but we should have added a protein on top. A little dry on dressing maybe but we could have requested more so that's on us. On the other hand, the French toast had me scratching my head. It was cubed challah bread but eggs was 0, zero, nada eggs on it. I thought I was eating croutons which would have gone great with the super salad dish thinking about it now. The French toast really bunched up my undies, French toast is my favorite breakfast thing you see. They explained it was prepped that way for allergy sake due to the egg. Well, I'm not allergic and never said I was, but my friend was but she wasn't eating my dish so why make it in this fashion. Overall, this experience was just okay. Nice environment and service but I realized how lucky I am not to be allergic cause if I have to eat French toast like this forever, I'm not sure what to do. Definitely not up to eating croutons with syrup.

She seemed surprised and told me it didn't come with pork. I had already looked up "pancetta crumble" and knew pancetta was pork, so I showed her the menu. She then said she knew what pancetta was and would make sure there was no pork on my plate. The ceviche itself didn't have much flavor. I didn't really enjoy it, but it wasn't bad enough for me to complain or send it back. Dinner Housemade "Parkerhouse" Rolls -- $8 These came out fresh and hot with butter. They were good. No complaints. Chef's Fresh Catch -- $50 The fresh catch was grouper. The fish had some salt on it and a nice char, but the heavy cream-based sauce on the plate didn't have much flavor. Again, I didn't really enjoy it, but not enough to complain or return the dish. Jumbo Lump Crab Oscar -- $28 Wow, this was not good at all. I probably should have sent it back, but I didn't. It was tough and rubbery (see pic), almost like it had been left under the broiler too long. I took it home with me, but I honestly will probably end up throwing it away. Overall, I felt the service could have been better, and most of the food needed more flavor, especially at this price point. Nothing was so terrible that I felt the need to ask for a manager, but I also didn't enjoy most of what I ordered. I ordered it, so I paid for it and kept it moving. Also, a 25% gratuity was already added to the bill. Maybe that is why the service was lacking, because they already knew they were going to get 25% "allegedly". Honestly, I don't think I'll be back. Wondering about the attire? I would suggest smart casual, business casual at a minimum. You can put on a fancy dress if you'd like too! The drinks and food were amazing! I loved the kalabi Toscana and the bistec entree (chef's choice and that day was waygu). It was soooo good! I was greedy and wanted more. I just have to visit again. Service overall was top notch! Kudos to our main server, Rodney. He was amazing! Thank you!

When we arrived, there was a piano player in the bar area, which added charm without being too loud. The service was fast and helpful. The food was delicious, my favorite dish was the octopus, though I also really enjoyed the steak. The pork belly was another standout, full of flavor. They also offer an innovative cocktail menu. Overall, a charming spot that balances sophistication with comfort. I'd recommend it for a date night or ladies night.
