The problem is that the last time I had my hair cut there was in 2010. I am not sure if the "Walk-ins Welcome" sign is still up, but if it is, it shouldn't be. I've "walked in" a dozen times in the past five years--all different times of the day. Every time the owner is watching TV or playing on her phone, but I can't get a haircut because she'll have an appointment scheduled. (Mostly these appointments seem to be for women, so I guess the "Mens Shop" part of the sign should come down, too.) In summary, I'd pay $25 for a haircut (which is more than she charges) at Get a Hair Cut in Goodrich, but I can't find a time when they'll take it. (Someone might read this and ask, Why doesn't he just make an appointment? Good question. The thing is, I used to live in Goodrich and could pop in whenever, but now we're 40 minutes south. So I only stop in when we're passing through.)

Why would I need anything more than a good barber. But, with Wayne cutting my hair, it is an experience. Really, like it used to be. Like it still should be. A great guy who cares about his customers, his community, and treats everyone with appreciation and respect. The trophy taxidermy everywhere reminds me that with my haircut, I'm going to hear another awesome story too. All this and our the door "a new man" for less than $10. Wayne! You da'man!

The least they could have done is tell me my hair wouldn't permit it, but no, they decided to have an ego and give it a shot anyways, leaving me looking like Simple Jack from tropic thunder. Every single person coming in there today was getting a single style; the only style the owners know apparently, the stereotypical lifted truck driving, overweight 300lb wife beating douchebag. At the wedding today, my parents, her parents and all of our friends looked at me like i was a fucking freak. Thanks to this, I will trust corporations rather than small businesses. This place needs to advertise themselves as "we make everyone who walks in, look like douchebags, because at Mooney's, we base every haircut off of the God damn punisher". I went into another barber (great clips) and they were shocked at what this place did to my hair, in a bad way. Thanks for ruining both my reputation and your own.

Beard Trim Review Zach does great job on my beard trims and…read moreline-ups. He asks what I want done and with care and attention shape up my difficult beard for a more than reasonable price. Zach and Kyle take their time and make sure to give clean and precise hair cuts and beard cuts, with straight razor line-up and neck shaves. There is no rushing people through to cut as many cuts as they can, they maintain integrity to a job well done. They spend their time to do the job right, which may mean turning away customers the last hour of business. Unless you show up at least an hour before closing time, do not bring shocked if you are turned away if customers are waiting in the seats, and waiting an hour for your turn in the chair is not unusual if there is a queue, so get there more than an hour before closing and when you have some time. But well worth it. As far as I am aware, there is no reservations, just first-in/first-served. My only complaint is the hours, a working man may find it difficult to make it there.

Eric, Zach, and Benito typically do it though with my luck in the wait. This place is actually fun to wait in. The conversation is fun and adult. So, remember that. You can be and talk how you really are and if casual, honest conversation scares you, they will alter the environment for you. But, I honestly hope you aren't there when I'm there because it's so much more fun when people get to be themselves. These guys do the best job and take their time. If you're not going here, you're missing out. They are all barbers. Which is a more intense schooling process then becoming a stylist. I have NEVER had a bad cut from this place and I never will. They simply take too much pride in what they do. Anything you can imagine, these guys can do. I get a fade and it looks great every time. No question. My beard line up is legend.
